Nice whittler stash, Vince. That MooreMaker on bottom looks like it would ride well in my pocket. ;)

Ford,That's the bone version...I like the little clip on that one..

Got me droolin' over that Platts, Larry. Is it non-stainless steel?

Nice pics as well.

Larry,thanks for posting those pictures
Ford I'm pretty sure she's ss,what is cool about it though, besides the massive 4-5/8" size, and the fantastic f&f,is that both smaller blades have half stops, and the larger one no half stop..
Gimme a minute,I'll snap one in the hand..
Here ya go,check this big boy out.....

Ford, it's 1095 carbon steel. I try not to sell Vince anything but D2 and 1095. Larry

Thanks Vince and Larry. :)

I like the description of that Platts, and the fact that it is in 1095 is sweet.

This is a fresh off the bench 4.5" Anglo Saxon Whittler by Reese Bose. Blades are ATS-34 hand rubbed finish, brown jigged bone by Reese, SS federal shield, SS liners and bolsters, center liner is tapered cut.

Just come across this Bose knife and I don't think I've ever seen a more appealing knife this year (and there's been plenty to look at) Fantastic workmanship:thumbup:The owner must be like the cat who got the cream:D
Thanks for letting us have a look. Take in those looks once more!

I know these aren't the best pictures but here are some of a Chamblin whittler based off the Queen 48. Except all three CPM-154 blades have swedges and long-pulls. Only two half-stops and those are on the pen a coping blades. Fit and fit as you would expect from Joel.

Here's on that'll end up in the grave with me.

Decided I would keep this one too after trying to trade it.Not too many knifes have a finish on the inside and polished edges on the inside tangs.

Well, if an old thread is gonna be resurrected, a whittler thread would be my first choice too!

thx - cpr

Just found this thread! Boy, you guys have a lot of beautiful whittlers! I only have one and it's a relic. I've had it on BRL's forum before. It's a Jonathan Crookes from before WWI (and after 1890). Crookes was in business in Sheffield up until 1910, then the name was used by Joseph Allen & Sons. I'm not sure which company made this one.
