Darn, I hate when this fine thread goes cold!..:p:D

So, what the hey!. Here is a few that I really miss as they were just traded off last week..

An old Case Tested XX 1920-40 in the sweetest jigged brown bone I've ever had the pleasure of looking after.

Here is a 1965-69 Case XX USA dressed in dark red jigged bone and all NS hardware(no brass on that bad boy) that was nearly mint and definitely unused.

Glad to see you keepin' the whittlers warm sunny! :) That brown jigged bone on the Case Tested XX is really sweet.

I always enjoy reviewing this thread when it comes up again.

Hi there Ford,

Keeping them Warm indeed!.:) I have read and re-read this thread so many times I know whats coming up next before I even turn the page.. But, I never get tired of seeing them all. I have come to really respect the old style craftsmanship of a well built true Whittler pattern knife..

BTW, I love your folksy tree frog avatar!

Best,
Anthony

Just been through the thread again... very enjoyable. Awesome pics of whittlers everyone. Some that I have posted have gone as I have updated my photos. This is a mop Wm Rodgers made by John Clarke & Son.

I just checked this old thread looking for Remingtons. Only found one! They made a lot of whittlers, so here's one I found a while ago. I've already run it through BRL's forum. So I apologize to those who have already seen it. But I thought that reactivating this thread would be fun!

Good stuff you guys!

I'm not sure, but I think it could be sacrilegious, and a hangin' offense, to dislike or defame old whittlers. :D ;)

Nice to see this thread back on the board.

What's new in the stable sunnyd? Larry? Charlie? Sunburst? Vince? s-k ??? :)

Well, not sure if'n you caught this in another thread, and she doesn't have the "split wedged liner" so indicative of the older Whittler pocket knives, but she does qualify.. A newly Family Brands CCC Seahorse Whittler in Olive Bone..

By the way partner, Thanks so much for putting out this thread!.

And may it never die!.

Thanks. It has a few worm holes. when I bought it, it had a chip off the edge of the tip. I'm convinced it sat in a dresser drawer since. I honed out the chip and lost about 3/16 off the main blade. It's without a doubt the best made knife I own. Zero blade play to this day. I know some of the purists think it is wrong to alter an oldie, but it sure made the knife into a worker again. heres some more snaps. The swedges are to die for.

My favorite slipjoint pattern - the swell center whittler. These are all CASE.
