I got two Schrade 863s and another one on the way. Can't get enough of this pattern as I love to make the chips fly.

Nice to see Ford's old thread back in action! I'm in the process of renovating my Empire display for the Oregon show, and I pulled these whittlers off of it to re-arrange them. A good chance to scan them, and show them here. Not mint, but interesting I think!

Nice Camillus and Schrade whittlers, guys...

I like the Queen whittlers:

the top one has Delrin scales, the middle one is an old winterbottom bone one and the bottom one is a new amber bone one.

Was that made by Case (It looks like their Seahorse Whittler) or by some other company?

Very nice.

Thanks. The Winchester "Black Box" repros were made in the '80s and '90s by Queen using 1095 carbon steel and their "Schatt & Morgan" quality for Blue Grass Cutlery. It varies from knife to knife, of course, but I'd say the overall quality is a bit better than many modern Case knives, and good ol' carbon steel is hard to beat, though CV comes pretty close when it's available.

Here's a thread about them: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=562111&highlight=winchester+black+box
