Photos SharpByCoop's Gallery of Handmade Knives

Fantastic stuff! I really get excited every time I see that you've added to this thread. The creativity out there is awe inspiring!

It is very cool to see my knives in this post with all the amazing knives. Your photographs sure look alot better than mine.

Thanks you both! Newcomers to this page, I had just posted a gaggle of images on the previous page.

RIP - Keith Newman.

I have photographed a gazillion knives for many dealers. In the past couple of years I had the extreme pleasure of showing off Suchat Jangtanong's work, which had been brought to the World market primarily by Mr. Keith Newman.

Keith was a superb human being who supported and embraced anyone who he worked with.

Sadly, that I only learned this week of his passing in June, not recovering from a surgery. I literally cried in my reminiscences, and felt helpless that I did not know this earlier. He was one of my most cherished 'knife people'. He trusted my advice and gave me praise for my work, all the while helping to direct what he needed. All with honest dialog.

I needed to say this somewhere. I miss him.

Thank you for reading. You understand.

Coop

Sorry for your loss Coop and I do understand. I lost a good friend and mentor a couple of weeks ago.

The Fall season, for me, is abuzz with work from both of my jobs, and school starting, and other committee work.

I'm on a Ministerial Search committee for a Senior Minister (Unitarian Church in Westport), and the head of a Safety Consortium for rowing on our river with four other clubs on a commercial busy waterway. Also volunteering for a couple of Social Justice events and helping to run an Open Water regatta and Car Show in my Grandfather-in-law's honor. All happening in September!

Want something done? Ask a busy man...! :D

Nice stuff all around but I find myself going back to the Paul Lusk and David Sharp pieces again and again. I love this thread.

Thanks for showing again! Nice knives, some of which I would love to enjoy opening and closing.

The Krammes folder is just a study in carved, carbonblack shades, fantastic.

And Coop.... I have to thank You for running this thread. It is just an endless source of inspiration and joy.

Please keep it coming.

I pat myself on the back for having the foresight to subscribe to this thread every time I get an email notification that Coop has posted again recently. It's been a welcomed surprise every time I get such a notification. Thanks for sharing your craft and all the makers' skills whom you photograph, Jim. You are truly appreciated in the Blues' household.

Waiting with baited breath for your next pics-post.

That's it for a spell.

Don't be shy. I don't need to hear any 'attaboys', but I'd love to get impressions of ^^^ these knives.

Bladeforums has not been a strong 'Tactical' collector base, but like music, you need to swing to the new beats.

This said, I'm working on some fixed forged pieces. ALWAYS a pleasure. :D

Thanks for viewing.

Knifeporn at its finest! That Bose Whittler makes me drool and the Harkins piece cracks me up. HEHEHE

I really like Brian Nadeau´s folders but as an airplane freak, the Galyean piece really appeals to me. Looks pretty comfortable in the hand too.
