Sharpest out of the box?

Sharpest after reprofiling the edge?

I'd have to say it was my Spyderco Manix.

Sharpest out of the box, has to be my Spyderco Calypso, Jr. It is so scarey sharp!!

my ZDP calypso jr. I doubt I can ever get is sharp as it came from factory, but I'll try my best when it gets dull.

I was going to say that myself. It's no longer with me but MAN! was it sharp!

Spyderco D'Allara drop point - amazing high performance from a relatively thick blade.

Spyderco Calypso Jr - So sharp you can't shave with it because it refuses to differentiate where the hair stops and the skin starts.

Any carbon Opinel.

I'd have agree. I've seen and sharpened a lot of knives but none get that bite and impressive edge the Calypso Jr in ZDP189 gets. Its my sharpest knife.

I don't really know what would be next. My Marbles Fixed blade is quite impressive too so it may have to be that one. I know it is the sharpest fixed I've ever held. There may be a couple of folding knives I own that are sharper though. I'd have to think about it. Probably another Spyderco or my D2 Thorn maybe.

out of the box=Benchmade boa I bought about six or seven years ago
after reprofiling=Rat-3 D2 blade shaves better than my razor, and you can take a piece of copier paper and shave two or three layers off the same place before going all the way through the paper when flat.
