Sharpest new knife you ever purchased?

My Crk tanto sebenza was the winner there. Came out of the box crazy sharp.
My regular sebenza was sharp, but not like this one.

I think mine was my Diskin Fire. Still don't have hair on a nice big patch of my arm :D

My Opinel # 6 in Sandvik steel. I was blowing the wood dust off the blade when my cat bumped my leg and I hit my upper lip with the blade. I've hit my lip with forks and shaving razors much harder without bleeding, this cut was so deep and thin I had to clench a paper towel between my lips for ten minutes to stop the bleeding.

My BK9 and Kabar Dozier Folding Hunter are the two knives I have to be most careful with.

it could shave hair off a gnats ass
I can't think of a situation where I might want to do that.

My Kai and CRKT knives all came scary sharp, particulary these:

ZT 0560 and 0801
Kershaw Blur and 1080 skinner
CRKT Marzitelli Prowler and Natural II

Definitely my Moras & my Spyderco Bushcraft, they all came with pretty much equally sharp edges when new. My Wilder Forge necker is next in line, although it seems a bit unfair to compare other grinds against the Scandinavian ones in terms of sharpness.

Cold Steel outdoorsman, fallkniven junk and lone wolf( pre benchmade) Diablo Snakewood. All 3 were so sharp I used each to shave when I first got them. Each one is awesome in their own right.

All 3 of my microtechs, select fire, socom elite and delta came insanely sharp. They could widdle a hair all the way down, tree top hairs without any effort, slice free hanging paper towel, to do the towel you need a extremely sharp edge that has a lot of bite.
ranking production companies in sharpness
1. Microtech
2. My beloved spyderco
3. Cold steel
4. Benchmade
5. Kershaw/ZT

Thats from my experience anyways.
