Sheath WIP

It's funny you mention Bob Douglas because I have the very same rivet set. I got it with a set of 10 or so tools on Ebay for $60. They are definately the Douglas setters for #12. Not a bad find as a new set runs about $50 alone. For the most part, I prefer the random peening. I set the burr, nip the end of the post off and hit it with the second setter... then finish it off with a small ball peen. Thanks for the CA glue tip.

I have to disagree on one point though, Chuck....... that sheath is bad lookin'... even for my style. Which is best described as rough, not quite period, utilitarian, neo-fugly.
 
Great thread Matt. I'm just starting to make my own sheaths. Lots of great input here from everyone. This tut and TK's are a great reference. I've PM'd a couple of ya to help get me started. Paul I'll have to get your DVDs. This and TK's tut should be stickied over at sheaths and such for newbies like me to find.
