ShepardCC: Custom Knife Scales & Backspacers **Books OPEN**

I don't make standoff or pocket clips

I'll take some pics of some finished creative ideas I had to make tomorrow weather permitting. Stay tuned :)

This is a very dangerous thread for me. :) The more I see, the more my carbon fiber addiction is increased. I end up needing more knives just to get more carbon fiber. :D

These are all for sale. No lockbars made yet. Let me know what scale you want and then we can pick out what kind of lockbars will go with it best.

Those pictures make me wish the Southard felt good in my hand...something about the ergonomics just doesn't seem to work for me. I may have to reconsider though...the scale you made for my Schempp Tuff definitely improved the ergonomics, though they worked well beforehand. Hmmm...I sure want to like the Southard...not sure if I can though.

Thats surprising since we have very similar taste in knives. It is definitely a much better knife with the new scales. Feels much more like a custom. Plus the sharp edges of the finger groove are gone and more comfortable

That's exactly what has me second guessing myself, but I vastly prefer the Domino from an ergonomic perspective. I've held a Southard at my local knife store near a dozen times, and I'm not sure what it is but it just doesn't feel right in my hand and as a result I've never bought one.

I don't really like the domino. And it doesn't seem that popular as well. Im making a really cool scale for one soon. I prefer the Dice to the Domino.

It fits my hand a lot more comfortably than the Southard. I'm sure I'd like the Dice also, but I've come to prefer larger knives in the last couple of years. I'm still debating on whether I should send you my Chokwe or Ulize next after I install the BattleStation and Lava scales. I'm leaning more towards the Chokwe at present, but it's close enough that it could be either at this point.

I'm thinking red cf for the lava instead. ;)

Chokwe I'm thinking bolster scale. With white.

I didn't want to hijack the pm 2 thread but I was thinking the new salt rescue with the glass breaker and whistle will be perfect. I have the all blacked out one. I should put that in my car. Lol
