Please keep the community up to date on if and when this guy drops the claim so the rest of us can add him to the ignore list.@KM013070. I will not accept the original offer. That was made as I was surprised by all of this and before I knew other facts such as you tried to sell yourself.. Actually when I originally gave you that offer, you basically laughed and insulted me and blamed me for the scratches in a pretty negative way. I can supply that email if you have forgotten. Now you want to me accept that very same offer? I hate confrontation but I am so upset pnoint the facts everything I am no way going to accept an offer that I was laughed at initially.
Try contacting Millit knives if you would like to find a good company to fix the m sure the can fix scratched and remove the pivots as once again this is not a pivot issue, rather patience and tools to remove the pivot without damaging.
I've actually done the oven route several times - works great. G10 can take incredibly high temps, as can CF and of course Ti. 200 is sitting on your dashboard in the summer hot. Softens it up just enough that you can quickly hit all the hardware just enough to break the seal. TBH, it's whatever works for you and gives you the results you want!A blow dryer won’t cut it. I’ve read where people put a knife in the oven at 200, personally, I’ve never attempted that. The idea is that the pivot area needs to be hot enough to soften the thread locker. Hence, hot water. The hot water will get to the pivot without damaging any part of the knife. Use an eraser on the smooth part of the pivot body to bind it after it’s been heated up
Great news S sliceofknife410 . I'm really sorry this guy sucked the energy out of the room, and damaged his street cred. If he'd have just manned up, we'd have all gone off to play with our knives. Not a single person on this thread was with him on this, but that wasn't enough of a clue. Very sad. Glad your fight is over though! The claim has been dropped. Thank you for dropping and the rest of the members on this thread for the advice.
