For me.


Spyderco = Hole and sharp

Chris Reeve = Tolerance, tolerance and tolerance.

Busse = Ezyprofit super tough blade.

TOPS = Heavyweight ninja stuff.

Strider = $400 badass prybar.

Hinderer = BlackBerry of knife world.
 
Spyderco - holey sharpeness

Zt- tolerance for pain and pleasure

Buck- old school with a bit of new

Kershaw- middle of the road

Gerber- fell of a cliff but has a parachute.

Kabar- kill a bear

United cutlery- stick of butter

Cold steel- cold hard and to the point
 
Sanrenmu: Domestic China's best.
Enlan: Dirt cheap, reliable, and boring.**
Smith & Wesson (Taylor): Gets things done and looks tacticool good.
Schrade (Taylor): S&Ws with better steel.

**Almost all their knives in their entire lineup have been using the same (or very similar) blade style and design with different handles.
 
Benchmade: Quality, but is it too expensive?

Columbia River Knife & Tool: Hit or miss, nothing in between.

Cold Steel: We've got Andrew Demko, and you don't! (nyaa nyaa nyaa!)

Emerson: $150 Lifetime Warranty, with each knife!

ESEE: Other knives are too pretty.

Ontario: We have 1095 steel, too!

Boker: Collaborate all the knives!

Case: We changed the bolster pattern, so you can buy them all again!

DPX: Moar Hardcore than your knife.

Quartermaster: Our knife names prove that they're good.

Strictly from my own experiences........

Zero Tolerance: Makes better Hinderers & Emersons than Hinderer & Emerson.

Schrade (folding knives): Ick.

Spyderco: Awesome variety.
 
Spyderco: all of our knives start from the same design
Kershaw: let's see if we can make another strange looking knife
ZT: let's see if our strange looking knives can be used for combat
Emerson: hey were emerson, with the emerson wave, made by emerson because emerson
Mtech: it comes with a pocket clip!
Benchmade: we charge so much because you pay for it, after all, IT IS the axis lock
Microtech: Don't work on your knife, don't disassemble your knife, don't use your knife, don't even look at it
Busse: why are there so many damn cinder blocks
Cold Steel: HiiiiiiiYahhhhhhhhhhhgdhdjfncnrhdbcgshdkkgsgahshahfncnchdjh!!!
Buck: let's make another knife with very few variations in color
Sog: Sog Sog Sogsog sog sog sog Sogsog sog commando
Esee: we are taking over the survival knife world
Becker: check out all these mods I made to the becker that I just got
Kabar: knives built to survive ww2, but don't warranty anything
Ontario: you can bend our knives in half but good luck cutting an apple
Survive!: we have the same basic blade, in many slightly different lengths
Schrade: just like grandpas knife, if he carried a pot metal blade made in China
SAK: alright, so same tools, different name for this model
Gerber: better drink our own pee

Disclaimer: I own most of these brands, these aren't meant to be mean, rather just my observations:)
 
Spyderco: Innovation, Enthusiasm, Design, Execution, Pinnacle.
Benchmade: Sitting on laurels.
Kershaw: Give me the ones without an ugly clip.
ZT: I finally found one I like - the ZT0562CF.
Cold Steel: Hype and a good product, amazingly
Buck: Still trying and succeeding to balance traditional with modern.
Chris Reeve: 15 years of collecting and I still haven't pulled the trigger.
Gerber: Fond memories of the Gator, the knife that taught me how to sharpen.
Sog: Down the drain.

Spyderco = Keeps going and going and going

Chris Reeve = Dudes really love those same designs year after year after year

Busse = INFI can mean anything, as long as anything means cutting through buildings.

TOPS = Burnt 1095 with some stupid names

Strider = Man, that's a nice looking folding prybar!

Hinderer = Dropped out of BF because people didn't revere him anymore.

Benchmade = Going down in flames while the prices go up

ESEE = what can you do to our knives that a grizzly bear driving a steam roller couldn't do?

Quartermastr= good god son, don't look, you'll go blind!

Cold Steel = Hey, Lynn, we got any more pigs in the back?

Microtech = How are they still in business after getting caught so many times?

Shirogorov = they cost how much for that?

Olamic = Eugene, nuff said

Rockstead = simply amazing finishes

Kizer = rocking and rolling

Benchmade= yea it's expensive, but who else has the AXIS LOCK!???

Emerson= HARD USE AND BLACK G10

ZT= our naming department has a thing for algebra

Cold steel= sure you don't NEED a knife that can take that abuse, but it can cut a pig in half!

TOPS= our naming department is likely a 12 year old.

Spyderco= we got the hole!

ESSE: We may not be the best but if you shoot your knife witha .50, send us the pieces and we will give you a new one.
