Benchmade - we don't have fun, we have the axis
Spyderco - don't expect me to try them all
Emerson - fun until lock wears out. Can last a few weeks, sometimes less.
Brous - objects of art, not suitable for use
Hinderer - folks with very sensitive personalities building very hard use knives
Chris Reeve - expensive boring, but so smooth
Strider - done with playing legos

+1 on zt making better emersons and hinderers than Emerson or hinderer.

These brands are primarily subject to individual opinion...which is why they all sell pretty well.
 
Case: "this knife has good fit and finish, but I didn't feel like making 2 good ones. So the fit and finish of this one sucks."

Buck: Kinda cheap but still lasts forever. USA son.

Spyderco: The only brand that you can buy with confidence.

Benchmade: Overpriced Spyderco

ZT: The only brand that makes perfect knives every time.

Medford; Knife company that sell a $900 folding pry bar, run by a down syndrome.

Sheffield Knives - Not really like the old Sheffield Knives at all.

Opinel - Older than dirt and no need to change.

Mora - Betcha can't stop at just one.

Svord Knives - Proof that kiwis can be good for something.

Microtech - Hardware designed by/for aliens.

Tops Knives - Ad copy department made up of armchair commandos.
