Call it what you want... Your right pocket knife, your defensive folder, your go-to knife...

For the past almost 2 weeks, its been a modded Yojimbo2 with a 2.5" blade. Quite a departure for me. I'm into the megafolders.

As a primary, probably a Blur. Usually something larger, and quite often with a 4"+ fixed blade backup.

2.25" Kershaw OD-2. I don't carry it as much anymore, but it's really about all the blade I need...just not all the blade I want :D

THAT is quite a departure for you!

For me it is usually a 4" or greater, but mostly a 4" blade such as my BM Adamas. Though today it is a LionSteel SR-1D with a 3.6" blade. That Chad Nichols rainbow damascus is just too nice to not carry it in rotation.

Never would have thought that to be your speed, CM

3.75 for me, is a minimum, I like big blades

My primary is always around 3 inches. Leek (3") mini grip (2.9") kershaw chill (3.125) crkt M16 (3" model) just for a few examples. I rarely go smaller and sometimes I'll carry a 4 inch folder but nothing bigger. I'm one of the few that doesn't want an enormous folder. The biggest I currently own is around 3.5" (para 2 or 550 grip) for folding knives at least. I have carried a 5" fixed here and there on special occasions when I'll be needing something a little stronger than a folder.

3.25 inches. I don't like anything less than 3 inches on my primary folder. I have no problem with less on my buckup knife, like a SAK or CRKT Minimalist, but I like a little more cutting edge on my main knife.

That's the only locking folder I'm carrying. I'm quite confident that I can cause someone to have a very bad day with that small knife.

99% of the time I'm carrying my 4" bladed spyderco military. Sometimes I will only carry a traditional like my sbj which has a sub 2.5" blade, opinel with around 3", or 2012 bf trapper with a hair over 3" blade.

I broke my knee recently, so really haven't needed the great Military for any hard work.

When visiting Chicago I've taken recently to actually following the law, and carrying blades under 2.5" in length. For that purpose I usually carry either a choil-ey small Spyderco like a Kopa, or the sturdier but not as nice looking Cold Steel Tuff Lite.

When I'm not in Chicago or Milwaukee or Boston or other towns with nutty laws, I usually carry a primary folding knife with a blade around 3.5" (e.g. Spyderco Southard, BM 940, etc.).

3in is my limit, even in slippies. I find 3in blades give me about a 4in handle (a full grip). I dont like blades that don't let me get a good grip.

Smallest I've carried as my main knife is 1.25" cutting edge - Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite, but that is rare.
Today, and almost everyday, it is 3" or a little longer.

About 2.5 is my lower limit for work carry, it goes to 3.5 or under on the weekends.
