Shot Show 2012

DSCN5660.JPG

That. Is. Awesome.

It was a pleasure to meet you Moose and I appreciate the kind words. I hope you and the Kabar/BKT crew have a great Shotshow and stay as sober as humanly possible.

I'll leave you with a photo of the craziest Zombie killing machinery I could find at the show.

What exactly powers the chainsaw?
Does the rotation of the drum as you dump ammo into zombies somehow link up to drive the saw?
Seems to me you'd want the saw AFTER you're out of ammo.
Does racking the bolt back and forth turn the saw? Yeah, that makes more sense. Cool.

Looks like an electric motor on the side to me so I'm guessing it runs off of some type of battery. I'm thinking something like a one used in a cordless drill. That thing looks so ridiculous but so awesome at the same time. Thanks for the picture man.

Any idea when these new BK tweens are going to be shipping and how much they're going to run? Or did I totally miss where that is in the thread?

Don't worry, you didn't miss anything in this thread. We've been following these things for quite some time and most of us know that stuff. You can find more info in the official tweeners thread in the meantime :).

They are being unveiled this week at the shot show (obviously I guess :D), but their official release will be later. We've heard around March sometime. Its possible they might come before then, but we've been told to "not get our hopes up".

The pricing is a bit unclear. They mentioned a while back that they would fit between the BK11 sized knives and the full size Beckers. More recent news said they would be closer to the BK2's.

Personally I'm hoping for a price close to that of the MK1, but thats just me.

Any news on the names of the tweeners yet? Not the model number, but their actual names?

Also, I haven't seen the new ZK stuff that Moose mentioned yet.

Yep, ESEE and Ethan Becker collab kitchen knives.

Don't worry about specs Moose, just send me out one and I'll be happy with it, I promise

What exactly powers the chainsaw?

looking like an electric motor, and a large (counter-weight) batter pack in the rear there... probably a thumb/pressure pad somewhere.

needs a splatter shield

and a chain saw grip (like the shotgun :)

The chainsaw should be powered by a tiny Mr. Fusion. That way you can just keep feeding it zombie parts as you trim them to size.

I second Bladite's requirements of splashguard and foregrip.
Will they be offering this particular boomstick at S-mart?

First I've heard (seen it before, just didn't know what it was called) of the new ZK knife just came through on their twitter page.

They called it the "ZK Chop Stick".

Not sure how I feel about that name, they should have used "Orc Smasher" like moose mentioned, but I'm sure they have reasons for not using that name.

I was hoping to see another shot of women hanging off of either side of Ethan but the kitchen knife looks pretty darned good!
