Should I get Spyderco Endura or Cold Steel Broken skull?

Interesting thread. (Yes, I read it all). I would chime in to say that I was impressed with the civility of the discussion. Nicely done. I've know Lynn for a long time, more than 30 years. Wile we don't always agree, like Spyderco, he does make good quality knives. Both Spyderco and Cold Steel have always try to improve their knives. They both use good steels and they both try hard to please their customers. Each model has advantages and disadvantages. As mentioned, personal preference is more of a factor. Thanx for the kind words bout us,.

I agree, Mr. Glesser, with your comments about the civility of the discussion and the shared positive attributes of Spyderco and Cold Steel. I will add two more traits that I admire about both companies: First, you both are utterly unhindered by convention. You try new knife designs, sizes, and shapes that no other companies would even consider manufacturing, let alone introduce into a fickle market. Second, neither company shies away from the knife's potential as a weapon. You both make knives that are made solely as fighters--an unfortunate rarity in our current cultural climate. Thank you for your dedication to quality, function, and innovation.

Back to the original topic. lonestar1979, I own both knives. As other posters have indicated, in some ways they are so different as to be incomparable, and in other ways so similar as to be indistinguishable. Frankly, they're inexpensive enough that I would suggest you get both. Two great knives from two great companies--why not?
