Show me your custom camp knife/chopper.

Same maker as Berno.
It is part of a trade we are doing. Sam asked me to make him a knife in my style following his design. We agreed he would make me a knife in return.

Here's one I made for a milita member. It may only have a 6" blade but it can chop. Made from 3/16" ATS34 chisel ground. Sheath leather over kydex and is MOLLE compatible. Sorry about the long exposure.

Received this one a couple weeks back f/Giedymin, a maker here on the forums. It's a big-un... ~ 11" blade and 5" handle. Feels great in the hand w/the stacked leather and curved pommel to keep your hand in place w/swinging it. Not an overly thick blade (~ 5-6mm) but it balances nicely and cuts well. Chopped up a few downed fresh pecan branches this weekend and the edge and blade performed quite nicely! A nice leather sheath as well... :)

Rick,

that is pretty cool. . .looks VERY practical!!!

I know the blade gets all the glory, but I really like your handle wrap.

Rick, that one has a definite WOW factor!

I estimate to be lucky to be friendly with Samuel Lurquin.

But sometimes for the customer whom I am also, it is not easy....

Sam finished my knife, and he sends me this photo, two and a half months to wait....:grumpy:
