One I just finished this week.
Forged from 5160 with a blued mild steel guard. Handle is jade green G11. Blade was dipped in ferric chloride and then treated with a couple of coats of mustard.
I am keeping this one for myself. Just got finished cutting all the low hanging branches on 8 mulberry trees with it and it is fun to swing.

clearin trail last night, the brusher ran outta gas. Good thing I had Kamisaurus with me!

the feeling is mutual my friend!

Kamisaurus is an amazing tool. I love using it and every time I go out, I learn how to use it better and more efficiently. Every blade has its own character and in my experience, it does take a good amount of time to learn how best to use each one.

20 minutes in, and the brusher was outta gas. This blade cut for another 2 hours- til I was outta gas!

My wife is getting one of our District's councilors out mountain biking, both are beginner level and all the beginner level trails around here are grown over. She'll also be getting the Chief of the T'Souke tribe out who is also a beginner and I wanna make sure that they have the most fun possible. That means not having salmon berry thorns dragged across their faces as they try to get through.

Cut list;
salmon berry
salal
cherry trees
cedar trees
fir trees
scotch broom
-each plant has its own characteristics. It's like a cutting competition, without the competition!

It is always great to get a blade in Lorien's hands! Beautiful Chopper Rick.

thank you Ryan, it is always a great pleasure to get a blade in hand and take it for a spin. Especially yours :)

Tonight, it was with Wheeler's Steel;

This is a great thread. You all have some spectacular long knives. Wish there was more to use a chopper for in the high desert where I live.
