This is a competition sized lightweight piece by Ed Schempp. It's laminated with a 52100 core.

I am a big fan of Ed Schempp. Very interesting guy to talk to and I have a great appreciation of his designs. He has done some fantastic work for Spyderco . Most of his designs have a ethnic influence , yet are modernized.
That is a beautiful knife, and you are lucky to own it.

Just received today! Made by forum member Tyler Smith ( cardman) his work is second to none.

And this one by MLL knives.

This is a Dasco 103-12 lamb Splitter that was handed down from my brother-in laws great grandfather. He now uses it as a camp knife on a regular basis. It was in petty rough shape when he asked me to restore it. It has a 10-3/4'' blade that's about 3/8 at the thickest point.

Some awesome knives in here. Here's my humble submission. No where near as nice as a lot of blades in this thread.

My first chopper(4th knife). .25in thick and just under 10in blade of 0-1. Full flat grind with convex edge. Hand rubbed satin finish at 220 grit and wearing micarta scales.
