This has been an incredible thread from the beautifully functional to the just plane drop dead gorgeous work of some whom are clearly passionate masters of there chosen work

Outstanding keep up the amazing work .
your all an inspiration.

My knife collecting has only recently evolved into the "camp knife" arena, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find this amazing thread of nothing but high-end camp knives that has been going strong for some SIX years now! Unbelievable, six years of sharing great knives and their stories. That's why I love Bladeforums so much, it's a place for us knife lovers to go and be amongst our own kind....I try to share/explain my passion with my wife and kids as well of course, and they give me their best impersonation of someone who gives a $%it about it, but it's all of you fine people who really do care and "get it"...and I'm just grateful for it.

A woman who is a member of my AA fellowship has a son who just got his carry privileges in Boy Scouts. She had me build him a knife for his birthday. I guess this counts as a camp knife? Steel is Carbon V with a differential hardening.

I am likewise grateful to the many contributors who have kept this train rolling right along.

Just finished this one for a great friend. IT is his wedding present.

It's 1084 High Carbon, Brute de Forge finish, Clay tempered with Tapered Tang, Distal Taper, and Green/Black Micarta scales.
