Now that I've acquired a Fiddleback or two, I'm working on pants. And ever since Anthony (Strigamort) has begun posting his Omega Leather sheaths, there has been something about his style that has drawn me. I knew as soon as I held the BC that it needed some Omega pants. I sketched my basic ideas to Anthony (something along the lines of "Make it awesome" :D ), and left the craftsman to do his thing. This is what showed up this week:

I'd say he hit the "awesome" nail on the head.

Oh, and Rick Lowe has something in the works for the Bushboot. It's like Christmas around here! :D

Hi everyone! I just finished making my first sheath for my 12 inch FF machete. I completely copied Heber's design. He also helped me out a little by giving me advice through the process. Here it is:

and a couple close ups of the front.

Great job! I love the images. Lest anyone think you have ill intentions with having such a large blade one must only look at the sheath to know that its contents are obviously to protect oneself from Bigfoot. :)

Your etchings look like modern subjects in a cave art style, which I think is really cool.

The Sasquatch holding a log or briefcase or boombox or whatever it is :) would be an awesome maker's mark. Reduce it in size and get a stamp made of that if you plan on making more sheaths!

@strigamort, lol I'm even more scared of encountering bigfoot with a boombox, because of how bizarre that would be.
@Mbern, I can't draw at all so I had my wife do it. I would have drawn stick figures. Thanks for the idea, that would be a cool makers mark, where could I go to make a stamp?
@Bush.Hacker, thanks man!

I am by no means an expert at leather work (maybe one day when I can get some more shop space at home) and I would defer to the great resident leather workers on this forum as they probably know much better than I do.

With that said, here is an explanation on stamping options by a leather worker. The US company he mentions can be found here. I have no idea if their pricing is fair or not.

This is where I've purchased my new mark. I haven't received it yet, but I like the guy that makes them. Price is very good too.
