 Nice score Abe. That OD bolstered Ironwood Bushfinger is spectacular, and S35vn to boot!

My wife and I decided to take a day off and enjoy a lazy day at home. It's snowing and frigid outside so we are being hermits. Unfortunately It's difficult to get any good light indoor though.

I had the remarkable privilege of visiting Rick Lowe and his lovely wife today - he invited me over to his home to pick up the two sheaths he made for me (I live in the adjacent county). What an honor! They've got to be the nicest people you'd ever want to meet! Kind, generous, and willing to provide guidance and advice without a second though. Just a wonderful experience! It reminded me how grateful I am to have stumbled across this forum and community.

Of course, I left with the two sheaths...and Rick's Bushboot!

I like the placement of the firesteel loop on this sheath. Pull the loop and you've got a normal pouch sheath. Pretty cool.

Dealing with Rick is always a pleasure! Nice leather, and nice Bushboot.

 Nice score Tony. I agree Rick is a great guy.

Picked up this 3/32 Renegade last week. It's an awesome slicer! Fortunately it fits in a JouFuu sheath I have.;)

I've been carrying my Handmade hiking buddy in a Production model sheath. the only problem w/ this combo is my 3/32" TT Handmade is much thinner than the 1/8" SFT Production model. Yesterday i had the knife slip out of the sheath, luckily it hit carpet and no damage occurred. I decided to redneck mold the sheath.

I coated the steel in oil and wrapped it in plastic wrap before inserting it into the sheath. Then I pulled out the Foodsaver vacuum sealer.

I let it sit a few hours last night and this happened.....

it provided a much tighter fit & i am happy with the results

Good idea Phillip. Did you wet the leather completely out just dampen it first?

Thanks, Trestle. The other sheath if for a Handyman that Scotcha is shipping to me from his home down under. I originally asked Rob to make a Bushboot sheath for me because I knew I wanted one, and my 14 year old snatched up my other blade! I sharked the Handyman off the Flea Market site during the SuperBowl, and shot Rob an email asking if he could add a Handyman to the order. I hope to get the knife before the next SuperBowl - Abe has noted in another thread the issues with shipping these days!

I will take more pics of the sheath and post them if you like. Just say the word. Rob's work is so beautiful...the stitching, color, fit, etc. Everything just feels right. Let me know.

What knife will find a home in the other sheath? I like the shape of it.

Of course, I'm about to leave Rob's place with two empty sheaths, and he produces a Bushboot and I buy it on the spot. Beautiful...tapered tang, black bolstered, ridiculously perfect example of Andy's work. And let's face it...can't have empty knife sheaths!

He knew he had me!

Must. Not. Buy. Any. More. Knives. Well...today at least!
