Show off your Fiddlebacks and Leather

Me too!!! This handle combo which is rather uncommon is what brought me to the Fiddlebacks last year. Glad now i can call it my own...grail material for me

Would the knife retention be the same on his Split pouch and the 4"er ambi. sheath? Trying to decide for my Arete

I own many of Bonafide's 4" models and they all will work for the Arete, however this is how I rank them from strongest to weakest retention before any wet forming or modifications:

HB-3 Extended > 4" Ambi Pancake Style > Split Pouch > Scout Pouch

There is also a Scout Pouch model that is narrowed specifically for Ladyfingers, Recluses and Keps that I suspect will be awesome for the narrow spearpoint profile of the Arete, but I do not own one to confirm.

My recommendation is to use any of the 4" ambidextrous pancake models - they fit the best from my perspective. The HB-3 extended model is a touch short for the Arete but no worries if you like a little more of the handle above the top of the sheath. The regular Scout Pouch is the one I'd avoid unless you plan to wet form it to the Arete.

I hope this helps ... I can also post up some pics if you'd like.

A few from today. Along with some fine Rick Lowe leather. Always looking for an excuse to get these out in the sun...I so love these sharp shiny things!

Thanks Abe and Phillip! Not sure what's next, but trying to save some cash for my first trip to Blade! I'll be heading straight to the Fiddleback table first!

Gotta avoid Abe on the Flea Market. He keeps posting Grails!

Rick hasn't been helpful either. Every time I stop by his place to pick up a sheath I buy two more and one of his knives!

Thanks guys!

I love My Nix sheathes!!!

That Hunter is looking good in that sheath! I've been in Hawaii for 8 days and have my first Hunter waiting for me when I get back. The plan is to put the Hunter in that Nix sheath and put the BF in this beauty.

Just got home and this was in the mail; Rick Lowe -- mind blown ! Job well done my friend!!

That is a killer set Will! Great job Rick on the color coordinating sheaths to match the knife handle & bolster colors. Very nice package all the way around.
