Show off your Fiddlebacks and Leather

I've been carrying my Handmade hiking buddy in a Production model sheath. the only problem w/ this combo is my 3/32" TT Handmade is much thinner than the 1/8" SFT Production model. Yesterday i had the knife slip out of the sheath, luckily it hit carpet and no damage occurred. I decided to redneck mold the sheath.

I coated the steel in oil and wrapped it in plastic wrap before inserting it into the sheath. Then I pulled out the Foodsaver vacuum sealer.

I let it sit a few hours last night and this happened.....

it provided a much tighter fit & i am happy with the results

Phillip, I also wet molded my Bushfinger sheath for better retention on a 1/8" TT. I was previously using it for an older 5/32" TT with a large handle. Man! I really dig your 3/32" TT sapphire HB!:)

Gus...I want this! Seriously! Beautiful!

Well...because it is snowing, with some freezing rain and sleet. And I've got a fire blazing. And a pot of beef stew in the crockpot. And my kids on the couch. And there's nothing better than spending a day like this cleaning guns and enjoying my new knife. So...a few more pics!

WOW, that's pure awesomeness right there [emoji7]

Curious how adding to my small collection, each new knife contributes to an appreciation of the former. Something to do with idea one can't do it all or be all. Then adding the sheath, the whole package kinda comes together. Really digging Bud's style and the quality of execution.

Can this be true? Knives are like sheaths are like Doritos.....

Tmet, I have a beautiful Rick Lowe sheath with almost the exact same textured pattern as the one you've got in your top pics. Mine is black...for a bushboot. It's a great textured sheath...something a bit different. Very nice combo!

Thanks Luca917, Rick does amazing leather work and is a great guy to deal with. I'd like to see the one you have.
