Absolutely love the contrast of the dark cordovan with the bright osage. Add in the matching lime pin stripes and spider carving and wow! It was my pleasure to help join that pair up! [emoji106]

That is an awesome pair! Two great makers that have some synergy going on!

Thanks again Michael :)

Thanks! I love this knife. Can't wait to use it in some of the stuff I got it for!

Here's a sheath I made for an Arete I was lucky to win over in the W&SS forum. A big thanks to Rotte and Vance! Looking forward to getting it dirty come summer.

Never thought I would do this.... But I wore my new Runt w JouFou sheath next to my tape for two days in a row last week. LOVE this combo!!

I haven't looked at this thread in awhile. So much good stuff.

Love the photo with the recluse scotcha!

Those maple leaves are too cool aikiguy.

Are really like those isp sheaths that Bud makes. Technically we aren't suppose to use them here in California.....

Just an FYI, or maybe as a question of others, as my sample size of 1 each Handyman and Hiking Buddy may not represent all the possibilities...

I posted a little while back pics (above) of my Handyman in one of Buds really cool split pouch sheaths. I really like the combo and believe that knife is well supported in this sheath. Last week I received a Hiking Buddy and under the Impression that sheath could do double duty, based on ads for these, I tried the HB in this sheath. Here's pics, that I believe pretty well show how this works:

Not sure what you're showing ... the HB doesnt fit to your preference? If so, the reason being is you've stretch the pocket to fit your Handyman. Leather isn't like silly puddy .. it not going to snap back to it's original size.

You can't use a larger diameter handled knife in my sheaths, letting that fat handle set a pocket in the leather, and then try to step it down to carry a smaller diameter handle. Wouldn't matter if it was two Hiking Buddys ... if you carry a 3/16" fat handled HB in the sheath for a while, then try to switch out to a 3/32" commando handle HB .. it's going to be loose.

The Handymans I've seen (and own) all have fat/round handles. They do fit my HB design patterns. They will stretch the pocket to fit their size. I did have a question about the Handyman fitting both my HB size pattern ISP and my Monarch/BC Jr size ISP. The Handyman fits both .. but it depends on how deep you want the knife to sit. More handle exposure on the HB design .. less handle exposure on the Monarch size.

Hope that helps explains things for you.
