Show off your Fiddlebacks and Leather

Looks good from here! I like your knotwork on the lanyard, too.

Is there a reason blue dye rubs off more than brown or other colors?

Good NIGHT, that's a beautiful Runt.

Thanks I have to use those boyscout knot tying skills for something ...

As for the blue, It's the first time I have used anything besides fiebings pro dye so it maybe a color fastness issue with the ecoflo stuff I don't know but my hand looks like I've been petting smurfs all day

You need to use the oil based dyes and a sealer to avoid dye transfer, black is always the worst offender.

Yeah that's what I usually do ... but they don't make blue... I buffed the hell out of this one until it stopped shedding color... and then used atom wax... hopefully it won't transfer anymore

Ecoflo is utter garbage brought to you courtesy of the nitwits in charge of California. A Sharpie has better color fastness. :D

....and now Rick and Skye are getting sued by the whole of California for mental trauma. ;)

Jason

I sure would like to be there when the authorities attempt to deliver the papers to Rick's place. Could be interesting.

I'll take my position on the upper porch, buddy...

I don't know how to post a picture but I have a Fiddleback Bushcrafter Jr and I just received my Diomedes chestnut color leather clip sheath and it matches the terra-cotta handle on my BCJ perfectly - really cool set-up and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the knife, comfort of the handle and sheath. Thanks Fiddleback Forge & Outpost !

Well I tried what I had at home and atom wax, tan kote, bag kote and still got a little transfer to a white cloth... tried acrylic resolene and that did the trick but I hate using it because it makes leather look plasticky... hate ecoflo!!

Tony it's 164yds. to the mailbox and good clear line of fire in front. 50yds. to back tree line, but that's what the subsonic mags are for.

Nice combo Philip!

Not that he has paced it off or anything. Or installed yardage sticks. Or targets at those ranges. ;)

I can see the headlines now - "Ecoflow causes four lawyers to go missing. Local's are heralding it as a wild success. News at 11."

Patch knife in an RLO cross-draw sheath-- which happens to match my favorite belt very, very well.

Goes with everything:

Thank you! We love hearing that! If you have an iPhone, you can use the Tapatalk app for BladeForum and post pics directly from it. We'd love to see it! - Robert

Not a Fiddleback but wanted to share. I made this sheath a while back from the excellent tutorial by Professor Jason. It was for a Recluse I no longer have. But she fits the SBT perfectly!
