made a handle for my new ferro rod today. Used black cherry wood. Drilled the holes with a drill, the rest of the work was done with my knife. Burnished finish with a coat of mineral oil. High-strength epoxy used to cement the ferro rod inside the handle.

Lanyard consists of OD green paracord and cord-lock.

I like BIG handles on my ferro rods.

I was asked to make a longer version of the small spreader pictured below. Used Black Cherry wood, did all carving with the LTWK Boattail I’ve EDC’d all of 2023 so far, gave it a burnished finish, and soaked it in mineral oil.
