This one was forced with horseradish - 3 layers (FYI, horseradish really dries out the skin - yikes!):

OK, I believe the moment has arrived for our Sunday morning anointing of new members into the Order of Patina Patina...

In the Forced Category

jon-slider for his is it or is it not patina...now you see it, and now you don't. (Post #78)

sitflyer for his Code Blue save a knife or two...wait, that would be cold blueing of his knives (Post #175)

Earned Patina

Campbellclanman for his submission of that naturally aged old Queen (Post #132)

dewingrm for his beautifully aged but well cared for Schrade (Post #155)

nerfin for his multiple blades showing a very natural patina, especially my fave, the Texas Jack (Post #81)

Neglected, Lost & Found

9blades definitely gets the nod for that horribly mutilated, and obviously water boarded Barlow (Post #170)

link2derek for his whatever that thing is which obviously came from the Detroit water supply (Post #173)

There are 7 new members today, 8 will be picked for next Sunday, and then 9 each subsequent Sunday. Wear your new titles with honor by having it show up on your signature line.

Thanks Alnamvet68! As you can see, I've already added the sig line ;)
Here's a little TL-29 Kutmaster patina for your thread...

:)

Thanks Alnamvet.

There are so many great pictures to choose from, I'm honoured to be part of the order of the Patina. What a great thread!

I'm cheating by posting pics from another thread that Seas165 started..."priceless knife..."

Just a reminder, for those, like myself, who are not paid members, you won't be able to add a signature line. You can, if you want add to your location your Order of Patina Patina if you wish in place of your city, state, country, or universe you're in; better yet, just get a paid membership.:)

Heres that case trapper gone from neglected to respected:

Hello Jeff, Glad you joined up. But modern tanto blades do not belong in the Traditional Forum.

So I wasn't quite happy with the jigging and colors of the scales so I spent a bit more time, jigged some more and applied brown, red, and yellow stains between in layers between sanding. Here it is finished:

Does the pitting disqualify me?
The photo is worse than i thought. I apologize.

No, that's perfect; and while I'm at it, I did not anoint anyone this last Sunday due to lack of interest. By the time Saturday rolled around, this thread was on Page 9,476 so I let it go; of course, if we're still interested, I'll pick 6 new members this Sunday, assuming of course there's still interest.
;)
