Showing Off My Bucks

Its a Camillus Western. I think I bought it last year. It is okay but it is nothing special.

Back to the Bucks...

Commemorative in a tin 110 that I bought at Wal-Mart a couple weeks ago. The key ring is very good at opening beer bottles. :D

And now something with a bit of purple...

Adrenaline TI (I think that is what it is called) with ATS34 blade. I don't carry this knife much because the liner lock pokes my forefinger when I hold it. I've considered filing it down but I doubt that I will. Still, it is a nice knife.

Hey CapCase, Are you taking pictures of knives at your house or mine? I'd post some pics, but the only difference in our knives would be mine on a grey tailgate.

CapCase ... thanks for the pic of your Western! I have a Coleman Western like that, but with a Zytel handle.

Hey, now that you can get Buck 110s for about $20, you ought to consider carrying the real thing at work!

Nice collection and great photography. Buck's are great "user" knives, you should try to use them more! :)

Since I've added a few knives to the collection, I thought I'd share the lot.

Great looking bunch! (Or is it a herd?) Heh, heh- a herd of Bucks! Ha! I'm a wit! :D

Any-way...That Micarta 112 - does it have paper or canvas Micarta??? Can you see the layers??? Or is it so "flat" that they only show on the edges??? (Can you guess what my next 110 will have for scales???) ;) :p

Trax,
You're absolutely right! The micarta has a canvas like look about it. It always made me wonder about it until I came to this forum and found out about it. :)

I have a stiletto w/paper Micarta; it's nicely rounded in both axes and looks really nice. But a flat scale (like a 110) probably wouldn't show the layers too well. I was wondering if the canvas (which I've not seen yet) shows any better on a flat scale???

There are no layers with this micarta, but simply the visible "cloth" impression within the black micarta substance. The sides are the same as though the material was wrapped around even though it is squared off. That's the best description I can come up with. When I get chance, I'll try to take a close-up of the scales and post it.

Do you like how it looks???
My 1972 Black micarta 112 is my most valued knife. It was a working knife with me on the San Diego PD for eight years. I really appreciate the black micarta now more than ever and I really like the way it looks on a knife without a nail nick.
