Shunned for asking ?'s

I haven't responded to their trolling antics because they are simply not worth the effort, or deserving of my time. Calling Jerry a liar just shows he is a fool.

Gentlebeings, when a question like this gets posted there are several ways you can go.

1) You can post links to the evidence that was asked for.

2) If you don't have any evidence and don't know how to use the search engine to find it, you could wait for someone else to post the evidence. Or you could speculate at great length, drawing reasons there might not be any evidence out of your imagination.

3) You can go "He implied my hero might be a liar! Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! I'm going to THROW A HISSY FIT!!!! How could he say that? How could he say that? How could he say that? HOW COULD HE SAY THAT?????"

Several people have taken option 1 already, but how many people will notice it dispersed in five pages (so far) of speculations and hissy fits?

Of course LittlePrick was being a bit of a dork about it, but just because he acts like a bit of a dork doesn't mean everybody else should too.

Funny, I didn't see many hissy fits.

That is, until the elves started showing up...

Wow! I finally got to read the posts and am surprised at the "enthusiasm" by the HOGs at this. Although I haven't been here as long as some I believe that the Jerry's knives speak for themselves. As the saying goes, "Actions speak louder than words." Jerry is a very smart businessman and an exceptional knife maker who produces a product that is functional, durable, and just plain cool. My 13 years of service (USCG) says, what difference does it make whether a knife is produced for a military unit or not if it works?

I was never lured to Busse because of the military application or contracts that Busse Combat is involved with. Frankly, I don't care if the blades were ever used by anyone in the military or law enforcement or designed specifically for a particular unit. I only care that I know that these blades will work under all conditions, come with a rock solid warranty, and have outstanding customer service that goes above and beyond to satisfy its customers regardless if they are military or not.

Now I wish I could carry more Busses to work but in my current position as a "desk watch officer" and part of the command cadre I might be looked at strangely if I wore my Battle Mistress to quarters or the weekly staff briefing. But I can honestly say that if/when I go back into the field and need a knife that I could trust my life with, a Busse would be one of the first that is going with me. Hopefully the folder will be done sometime in the next "two weeks". :D

Looks like "BOSS HOG" is a popular ol boy. So many of his Clan jumping in to defend his honor. Think twice the next time. All I know for sure is, he makes one helluva knife.

ALWAYS FAITHFULL

Well, yeah!

I'm sure a few remember some years back when the Busse Combat site was down for something like 9 months, virtually NO civilian sales and Busse kept on pretty much 24/7.

we're still waiting to see the end of what that time period spawned for the civilian market :D I came along mid 2003, and was just at the begginning of the transition from the second generation production line to the third generation (wich we're seeing now).

post one, first sentence is what I refered to earlier on in regards to calling "liar" on a specific statement posted by jerry. jerry's not a hero of mine, and if I ever see evidence to the contrary of his statements, so be it.

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=482842

I couldn't pull up any stories of military use without doing a first time ever search for them, because I've never actually paid attention to them. I appologize if my posts were nothing more then speculation and conjecture.

Nope nope. This Busse character is an evil genius. I don't even own a Busse yet. I have one Sus on order. It was several months ago that I ordered it. It was estimated to ship "In about two weeks." But you see he is busy making knives for "someone" so hasn't been able to finish the "first ever public offering". His site only has the Sus for sale. He hasn't charged my card yet.

So if you think about it. He is obviously getting rich by only offering a few models at a time, but not making them for months, and not receiving any money for them.

LP doubts he even has contracts with the military, so that is $0 income. He isn't making the only knives he has up for sale, nor collecting money for them, so that is $0 income.

Wow, this Busse guy is a business genius. He obviously has a perpetual money making machine because obviously $0 income plus $0 income = Profit.

Roxor!!!!111!!!!

I don't think anyone has an issue with questions asked. However, the questions were more accusatory and confrontational and that is what set everyone off.

A troll is a Troll
and that is how they roll

And think about it for a minute, how many soldiers do you know that go around during wartime on a battlefield that really care about taking shots of their knives? Give me a break. They had better be watching their asses and not taking pics of a knife while some POS is aiming an RPG at them.

Also, Cougar, do you not notice the pattern in the last year and a half, of these accounts that were opened and barely used in a year or more and then, they one day go off and act like the Troll account they were created to be. I have seen this many times in the last year and a half.

Yeah, Busse is the primary arms dealer for both the Keebler Elves and the Underpants Gnomes.

Nice Snapper...I have 3 in my aquarium, very cool little guys.

PS...I laughed my ass off while reading these last couple of threads..LOL
I'm being careful not to post as I might get an "Infraction" :)

Wow You blokes sure worked yourselves into a frenzy.

6 pages of replies from a total of 4 posts from myself and LP and not one of them has addressed my question even though I worded it exactly how one of your moderators suggested.

Cougar Allen it is nice to see that someone here is prepared to be sensible. Sorry I've probably put you in a lot of trouble now.

I’ll try and add some perspective to my post. I am not a Busse enthusiast or collector. I am a knife enthusiast and user. I was first introduced to Busse knives when I picked up a US magazine. At the time I was on active duty, I had access to the internet and a search found among other things this forum. I read many references to military contracts and special units and lots of hype about Busse knife performance.

I assumed that all I had to do was ask around the shop and someone could direct me to a supply of Busse knives.
While I did find a couple and many other custom knives they were all privately purchased.

I have no interest in pictures, I don’t care if you call me names, I’m not doubting the performance of the knives, I’m not doubting the existence of military contracts and Jerry can market knives any way he pleases. He can claim they are the official knife of the intergalactic alliance for all I care.

I’m simply asking does anyone have any information about these military contracts knives.

A simple NO would have been sufficient.

I would think as collectors you would be interested

While your all throwing “Hissy Fits” there is another forum that most people here don’t have access to, that is watching carefully, the members are all active servicemen, many are from special units, some are Busse knife owners, many would like to have access to good quality blades through supply channels.

The current view on that forum is that this thread is a load of BS and you can take that anyway you please

Sorry, probably don't have anything positive to add here only my personal experiences. It does get me pissed when I see so called 'experienced' military people whine like little girls. I was never 'attached' to the special force or whatever that is and I don't have any tabs on my left shoulder, but I've served three one year tours, two with the 2/325 82nd Airborne and one with a state guard unit. I had the forsight to purchase a second hand very used Satin Jack that I had to beg my wife to let me purchase, prior to my first deployment. (She got a purse out of the deal). It served me very well. I would bet that it has more jump time than any of you whining 'military guys'. Did someone say 13 years? And you didn't have the foresight to bring a knife? That experience sure taught you a lot. I hope to God that some day you come under my command because I will smoke the sh!t out of you. Grow up. Stop your whining. You give military types a bad name.

Enough said. I appologize but I can only take so much.

and I don't recall jerry ever making the claim that because his knives are used by the military, they are high quality.

correct....because it is the exact opposite, because his knives are high quality, they are used by the military.

it is very hard to get pics of real soldiers in real kit, unless taken by a soldier or you are embedded. even then, they usually do not "show off" the gear, it just happens to be there. i have asked several "aquaintances" for pics of M4 kit for a project i was working on, and it was like pulling teeth. but i understand why. they are out there in harms way, and usually have better things to do than take pics so others can see their gear. gear is just tools to get the job done, no big deal, not worthy of pics. now that time Jones fell out of the truck into the sh**pile, THAT'S worthy of a pic! whoops, that's enough of that....

you will find some of them are gun or knife collectors, and like to show their stuff, or take pics for later, but for the most part, no-ah-ah......

that being said, i will ask for some knife pics, just don't hold your breath...

No need to apologize. You duty to your country and keeping it's freedoms has given you the right to say what you want.

I addressed your complaints about getting a Busse, and you have ignored it. I also posted in the thread when you complained about the same thing last January. It appears that you really don't want a Busse otherwise you would have one buy now, you just want to complain that you can't get one. Of course these are just my observations, and you can take that anyway you please.
