Ok, finally got done painting and organizing my place. So here we got with first impressions.
-The Large Sebenza is the perfect size for an EDC for me. Any smaller and I wouldn't carry it.
-The Blade is large. I can't figure out how it fits in this sleek frame either
-The knife is very smooth......VERY... Lock up is unreal!!!
-Its plain, Granted its not much on the eyes, but I honestly see that as a plus. Even though this knife is around $350 new, I would use it before say something like a Rainbow Leek b/c I wouldn't be as worried about messing it up. And sometimes less is more
-It arrived somewhat sharp, however I wouldn't be able to shave with it. So if no one minds, I am going to take it to the Sharpmaker. I am getting good, so it wouldn't receive any novice scratches from the process or anything like that.
-For some reason one thing that impresses or should I say got my attention the most is the rounded spine of the blade, Its so smooth and feels nice, I can't help to fondle it like its a breast or something
-The lock is something else. Its easier to disengage than 95% of my liner locks, yet I would bet Medic1210's left nut that it would never accidentally close on ya.
So far I am really impressed. It's so simple, because it only has the bare necessities, yet every one of them is done to perfection. I can see myself sending this EXACT KNIFE to be refurbished once I have it shipped back to me and making it my primary EDC. Can anyone elaborate on what CRK's Warranty system is like?? I doubt these have many problems from everyday use, but it would be nice to know for the other 7 people in this passaround that most likely will be buying on. Me, well I only paid $35 for mine, but the info is still handy.
I was going to make up some BS story about how I used it real hard and got paint on it, and blahh, blahh, blahh. But the paint fumes are giving me a headache and I don't feel like it, So I will spare you guys.
More to come over the next 14 days on how it holds up to use.
