Silent Knight Update

I hear that Copiuos!I have it on my desk, goes in and out of the cardboard 10 times each evening, just keep holding it and looking at it waiting for decent weather to walk out in the woods and chop sht up with it and some others to test out my budding sharpening skills I'm honing with my newly acquired EP system. It may not be a chopper but I grab it and then my DTBM I know which one I think I'd want to swing the longest LOL!

And to your post on the MOASK I agree. Remember that one guy posted a while back his collection of SK's he had stored in a tub when Jerry announced the SK? I don't remember where that was atm, but I drooled over those photos for a week, He had em all in duplicate, the best group of SK's you could have in one picture I do believe.
 
Man... these are a lot bigger than i expected, can't wait to get mine. Pig sticker and a half lol
 
While I'm not too much on recurve blades this is just a down right beautiful and deadly looking knife. Congrats to you all that scored them.

Sorry, no numbers, but to my hand it is a lot lighter than expected but it still feels stout and strong. It balances right at the choil apex Id say.
 
agreed - a little blade heavy and I think the CF and long swedge realy make them feel light. Not wimpy stock for a blade this long and for the style of knife it is.

P2.1 - I love that black and tan! that is probably my favorite g10 other than that OD green that sometimes comes around. And Black G10 looks sexy too.

I have purchased all canvas for my OP2-whatevs blades.

560 grams on the dot. Or 19.75 ounces, Doesn't feel like it in the hand though especially when using the choil. Balances perfectly in front of the g10 right where the choil starts.

EDIT: i did get g10 though so that might differ from micarta in weight

It is one fantastic blade.This one, for some reason, screams leather sheath to me. I'm not sure why. Even my Rucki, Waki, AK47, seem fine in kydex. But this.... this needs some leather. This blade is epic, IMO.

And the maroon micarta.... the scales on this are such a dark maroon micarta, I had to go back and check my order status just to make sure that it was supposed to be micarta. To me, it looked so dark, I thought at first it was red/black G10.

Love this blade. Once all the OP2W is finished and I get everything sorted, I might end up selling a few. The SK will NOT, I repeat, NOT be one of them!

Edited to add: I got the small SSSS sheet, and no stickers on the cardboard. I also received my A2TGM in the same package, again, small SSSS, and no stickers on the cardboard. Not a big deal to me, either way, although the sharpened by and inspected by stickers were kinda classy. Gave the knives more of a personal feel of connection to the Busse gang, I think. But mind you, I'm not complaining at all. Just throwing that out there.

I didn't notice a rough edge to mine. It's sharp as *ell, IMO. One of the better edges I've received. I still say I haven't received an edge from any Busse sharpener that has been sharper that the edges I got on my A2 Busse-bladeware. Incidentally, the A2TG's came with stickers. My A2TGM did not.

I just received my shipping notice for my SK in CF with black micarta which will also be heading to me in Australia!
 
I just thought of something brilliant, I think, If anyone out there has a Red and black G-10 and Forest green finish Silent Knight, I am very anxious to see it. Get it..Silent Knight Silent Night... lol Christmas themed Silent Knight hahaha.
