I thought I would try mix it up a bit, since I have so many other black & black knives...
But, truthfully, I rarely cheat on my Busse's...

I only set out to get a TWD DD knife, and you know how it goes!
I have a Black & black TGBG, and a Black & black Battle Shark, and I
never get tired of that combo!!

I think I'm repeating myself now...

I haven't done anything in black until recently but the time and blade seemed like the right time ~ I'd have a hard time doing anything in G10 again with the exception of something super special after playing with a little of both. On my PR G10 is perfect, on bigger blades the canvas is just comfy as hell for me. When the Hogb8 lands I'll know all about the res-C and from everything I've gathered, I'm going to love that combo as the wise men have convinced me.

Oh yes I agree that G-10 works really well on the small ones such as my Park Rangers.And I have really abused my BG Battlemistress I might need to invest in a tree farm in order to grow something for it to chop. The micarta feels good on it.

So can anyone compare how these Silent Knights feel in hand compared to an NMSFNO, SFNO or Hell Razor? I'm still waiting for mine!

Is that CF? It looks like a coated blade that didn't get coated.

BINGO!! You concisely described exactly what CF is.
This should become a stickied example for all of you who do not yet fully grasp what CF is really about.
YES!! Competition Finish is nothing more than a hand picked (for least visible gremlins/pits) CG blank that has not been coated but has a logo added!!!!! If you don't want a knife that looks like a well done stripper with machine marks and imperfections then don't order CF in the future as that picture in just the right light shows just how far off CF is from satin, as intended! It is an awesome user finish designed for..... wait for it..... Competition = performance = use. That is why satin is nowhere in the name! It saves the work and time of stripping and sanding off decarb from a CG to get it like you see there and will do everything a satin blade will do except look as pretty and scratch as easily. Thanks for bringing CF back Jerry!

I've never owned a CF blade. I thought it was slightly less refined than satin just like the shop's pics.
