The Ranger, Buck 212:
Blade: Clip Point, Satin Finish
Grind: Hollow
Steel: D2
Blade Length: 3.625"
Overall Length: 7.85"
Handle: Burgundy Micarta
Guard: Aluminum
Pommel: Aluminum
Sheath: Leather
We are tossing this decision around right now, between the standard snap and a custom leather sheath. Will this come with a regular 212 sheath
I’m liking this on a lot. That being said the handle looks like a wood pattern to me not burgundy micarta?
I'm getting more pics this week. Should have another blast out with price on it! Also, you can find the price on the instagram post.he didnt put it in the email. guess we find out when the early buy happens.
appreciate that but, dont have Instagram not gonna open an account. cant see anything but this on my phone Sir.....I'm getting more pics this week. Should have another blast out with price on it! Also, you can find the price on the instagram post.![]()
Would like to see what the custom sheath would look like.We are tossing this decision around right now, between the standard snap and a custom leather sheath.
I used to sew the right front pocket on jeans to carry my cam lll stockmanNot advocating just clarifying...
I don't rely on a wallet, folded bandana nor rear pocket sheath (all common approaches) to keep my knife vertical and to the outside of the pocket (so I can sit without feeling it). Instead, I use a sewing machine to sew a 3" seam about an inch and a half from the outer edge. It's an idea I got out of an old camping tips and tricks book (the author preferred an OT6).
When I carried a wallet, I carried on my weak side which was more natural for me - hold the wallet in the weak hand and get stuff out with my strong hand. When I moved to a money clip, I kept the money clip on the weak side.
Again, I'm not advocating for rear pocket carry nor my particular approach. I readily admit I'm one of 7 people in the world willing to go through the hassle of modifying his pants for his knives and I don't recommend that SK, C&C or Buck make knives for people like me...
But really... the AL 110 just my favorite and this is why.
Yeah the W2 version I would love to have just because of its uniqueness ( if there is such a word)I'll be all over the 212 in custom handles and upgraded steel, maybe it's just me,but buck hit a home run with this model 212 fixed blade.

You have to click on view replies under one of the responses. It takes a little work. I am not a member, but I was able to scroll through everything and click on view replies.
