SK Blades 2019 Lineup: >> 212 Shipping Now <<

Oh no jigged Bone .....
I hope you know we’ll not be satisfied until ironwood and ebony makes there appearance on the 301....

But I’m not gripping with jig bone... can’t wait

Any ETA's on the other knives? I'm thinking of waiting for the Aluminum 110 and 112 LT DE to come in before I pickup my second Shield (want to buy all at the same time)... So far the Shield is my favorite 110... need a second to mess up with a pocket clip.

A side note... after doing some mods to the SKBlades Vantage in 20CV and Micarta, I can't stop myself from carrying it. I didn't think I would like it so much!

We are tossing this decision around right now, between the standard snap and a custom leather sheath.

I have used a 212 a lot and the standard sheath didn’t work well for me. Moving the strap down so it is just above the guard is a huge improvement. A loop on the back instead of the 2 belt slots would make it perfect.

That is not only a beautiful 212, but one that is ideal for daily use. It deserves a really useable sheath.

Same here after some cleaning and tuning my Vantage Pro 20cv is my main edc at work and play. At first it was slow draggy and gritty but I disassembled it, cleaned some tissues of some sort out, reassembled, oiled it and it was much smoother. I also used some nickel antiseeze to the detent/ lock spring area and that made it almost like a bearing flipper. I’m very happy with it and it keeps an edge for a long time and only needs a stropping or touch up to get a micro tooth edge. I like everything about it!

It's much nicer than the other Vantages I've owned and gets a lot of pocket time. The stone washing of all the parts helps with the ergos quite a bit. The lock, liners, and blade all feel better than other Vantage models with sharp edges. I much prefer the Micarta to any of the other Vantage scales I've tried. The scales alone make this knife a great buy.

Minor quibbles: The 20CV has about the same edge retention as my S30V Vantage, perhaps not quite as good. I would have preferred a single washer per side rather than PB + nylon. If you don't disassemble you probably won't notice the difference.

I find this knife interesting due to the burgundy Micarta emulating a wood grain. It's almost like a layer of Micarta over a wood handle. I can't wait to see it in-hand.

Can please post some photos in natural light? I’m still on the fence about the burgundy based on the photos so far it doesn’t look like the old school burgundy Buck used but I’m hoping that’s due to artificial lighting.

The photos Tecate posted look to be outside but the grip almost looks like it’s got light areas. I’ve seen some photos where it looks almost like a wood grain appearance.
