Whiteriver knives knucklehead.
Also check out Esee izula

I just wonder....do skeleton knives popular in USA? I can't find any rewev about the type of knives.
Can anybody give a link?? Thank you.

Glad we got that cleared up.

I think the major objection to bare handles is "grip," particularly in cold and wet conditions.

Though I guess I should ask, Are you asking about "bare" handles with holes (skeletonized handle), or knives where the handle is metal and has no holes (like the Cold Steel Drop Forged knives), or both?

If anything in unhygienic it would be a skeletonized handle wrapped in paracord. It will just absorb fluids.

I love skeletonized handle knives. if designed right you don't need scales and it reduces weight and just looks cool to boot.

you will find interest here for sure if designed and made well with good materials.

Perhaps we are right both..

Well there is a time and place for skeletonized handled knives, they are lightweight and good for a knife worn around the neck.

But when they get wet and/or cold, they become problematic, in my opinion.

But thet are many of them in the marker and they are quite popular.

But they are no more "hygienic" or "imperceptible" than their equivalents with scales.

I use N690 because the steel does not rust

I meand they more thin then knives with scales. You see : 4 mm + Kidex sheath = 7-8 mm

I think they are nice when you want something that the added meat of handles becomes a bother in the carry or storage of the knife however typically the improved ergonomics, in hand feel, of a knife with handle/scales on it is improved so much it often outweighs any benefits to the skeletonized or bare handle knives. There is the upside of having the option to make or get custom handle scales for any such knife.
