If you'd like, I can give John an extra and have him send it with your next order or give me your email and I can send you what I cooked up as a take home for the gathering. I am going to go over some primitive/ improvised hooks and lines along with some "survival" fishing techniques (trotlines, hobo fishing, etc.). In general, food is lower on the list in a "lost in the woods" scenario so I would keep the gear to a minimum as I see fishing as more of a way to pass time and keep a positive mindset. I willl also post some pics of a slightly larger kit that I have. I try to keep things small and stay away from plastics as they tend to degrade over time, small spoons are ok, as are maribou jigs, jig heads, hooks etc. Not to let the "cat out of the bag" but one of my favorite things for a small kit is ice fishing jigs. They work great for panfish and can catch larger fish like bass as well as offering an easy way to hook small grubs and other found baits. Another nice thing to have is a length of braided dacron ice fishing line. It is much easier on the hands as it will not cut you as easily as mono can but you would still want a small length of mono or fluro as a leader.
