Sleeping with Knives

If I had a nightstand, I'd probably have something on there. I just leave knives and stuff in the top drawer of my dresser. I do have a 21" ASP under the bed near my head, though...
 
One of these days I know the "bowie bug" will get me. I think I'll start out with a CS R1 Military Classic (san mai) and get custom kydex made to bolt onto my bed frame.
 
Always a few in the nightstand, and I'm one who does NOT believe in putting my pants/shirt into the hamper till the next morning, just in case I have to get dressed fast (sick child, car crash outside - more than once when I lived at my parents, etc), so my EDC from the day before stays clipped in the pocket, along with my wallet etc - and the shirt is right there too, along with my hard sole moccasin slippers, typically, I can be dressed and out the door in less than 5 minutes, and that's because I'm gimpy now, it used to be less
 
Does passing out with one in your pocket count? lol cause if it does then Im in.

When I was perhaps 7 or 8 years old, I slept with a SAK (one of my very first knives) under my pillow. The knife had a habit of moving around in my sleep though... and in the morning, I would often find it between the wall and the mattress, or just on the floor somewhere. And when it stayed under the pillow, it made it a little too lumpy :p.

Nowadays, if I fall asleep with my clothes on, you can bet your arse that I have a knife or two on me. If I'm in my birthday suit, right beside the bed is good enough! :D

I do keep a small folder next to my bed on the table. None under the covers! I have a habit of putting my hand under the pillow for warmth and support so.... :D

Now that's some funny stuff right there. :D

No knives in bed with me but there is a holster screwed to the underside of my bed frame with a Sig P-229 loaded with 12 rds. of .40 S&W ammo. If I hear a noise in the house the last thing I want to do is confront an intruder that might be carrying a gun with a knife.

I only have two knives by the bed: an HI kukri and a Buck 110.

The other items are a very bright flashlight, my cell phone, and a Winchester 94 within eighteen inches of my bed. Only needed the flashlight so far, thank God.

It has been known on occasion. I've recently taken to sleeping with one in my sleeping bag when on scout camp, after i discovered that the scouts had found out about cable ties, and thier potential to seal someone into their sleeping bag.

at home there may or may not be one on my bedside table, depending on where I dumped it after last using it. rarely one in the bed.
 
Pohan Leu just made me a Japanese Pillow Knife.
A knife in the bed???---makes sense to me.
 
I have my knives in a case next to the bed... and I have a Ka-bar style knife that is attached to the bedpost
 
I always have about five blades and a flashlight within reach. One or two sometimes spend the night if I lose track of them and fall asleep. The wife hates it.
