The skull crusher I welded. Actually. The inside of the crusher is threaded. Then there is a turnbuckle nut welded in the handle. Then a cut down bolt connects them and allowed me to take it apart during the fab. process. I put the knife on my rockwell. The harness lowers the the further back you get. So I could weld at the pommel. The finger gaurd area was hard. Weld wouldn't penatrate and it would effect the heat threat. So that is soldered. Murph called me a few mins. ago and said he had a few more picks. I asked him to post them. Check them out. Your a skilled craftsman. You will be able to see it.

Dang, From the title I was expecting another ho hum mod thread, now I have to clean up coffee spew and change my pants from wetting them.

Awesome job, sir. My first thought wasn't pirate knife, but Bill Moran inspired knife. I mean that as the highest compliment. The guard and handle shape remind me of his work. Beautiful sheath, too. If that's your first snakeskin inlaid sheath, then I can only imagine how amazing the 100th will be. What did you make the guard and pommel out of? Beautiful work, and thanks for the photos.
