Sleepybadgers modded bk-5

You're most welcome. Will you be offering to create twin sisters or cousin BK5 knives as equally beautiful in their own way?

I have no plans of that now. Like I said earlier. I'm a maker, not a modder. Modding knives is not what I want to be known for. I put to much effort in my own knives for that. While I do respect Ethan and love his knives, I only do mods for friends of for fun and only do the ones I want to do. But who knows. I got a couple of ideas I might do once I get my next wild hair up my a$$. If so. You guys will be the first to know.

Hey guys, while out with Todd & Diesel D Wed doing our R&D I snapped a couple more shots.

back again. i can't stay away from this thread. that knife really is a thing of beauty.

Oh Wow! How did I manage to miss this thread until now? Absolutely stunning work. Forget all the gaudy fantasy knife talk. Seeing this, the Searles/Fowler Bowie on display at the Alamo came immediately to mind. The BK-5 clearly has the chops to become the basis of a classic interpretation of the Bowie.

that is the most beautiful knife i have ever seen....words just dont do it justice....do you do that for a living?? if not, you should! :D

Thanks for the kind words Spud. To answer your question, I am a partime maker.

Being a part-time maker is much more fun, IMO, than trying to run a business. Means we get to pick and choose the projects we want to do. Right now, I think my niche is short swords, but I still get to design whatever blade strikes my fancy, without having to worry too much about catering to a customer's design ideas. Your work is amazing though, every bit as clean and good looking as many of the full-time makers on here. That's definitely got to be one of the sexiest 5's out there.

So now that I changed my pants and finished wondering how I missed this, I will give you my first 30 children and their mothers for a 17 done up like this. :D

Well that depends. What do the mothers look like, and can the kids mow grass? :D

The knife arrived last week and I've hardly put it down since. Can't say enough good things about Todd and his work. He took an already great knife, a very basic idea from me and produced a beautiful piece. In hand, it feels as good as it looks. I will post some pictures and thoughts later this week. Thank you Todd!!
