Small EDC fixed blades

No discussion of small EDC fixed blades is complete without a nod to the Dozier modified personal.
Other favorites are the Bark River Mini Fox River and Swamp Rat Rodent 3 (though it will be a while before you can get anything other than micarta handles from them)

LT Wright Patriot, BRKT Mini Fox River, Dozier modified personal, Swamp Rat Rodent 3

my two most commonly carried fixed blades - LT Wright Patriot, and a bacustomknives Personal Utility

Swamp Rat Rodent 3s in bone and snakewood (the Custom Shop is currently closed to new orders, unfortunately, or I would have added another one by now)

they sell these kitchen knives at 99c store and it's my work fixed blade when I'm workin on houses for family. Laugh all you want but if it disappears I don't care. It gets dry walled into a wall buy another

I carry a Fallkniven juni daily and love it. I also swap it out with a DPX GEAR Hest II assault pretty frequently. I like them both and both are well loved (used). I will use a fixed blade over whatever folder I'm carrying more often then not.
The Fallkniven kolt is also a great knife for edc rotation.

The Patriot rocks - love this little guy (~5.75 inches OAL) (old pic):

Newer pics, different specimen (I have three of these - they're that awesome!!!):

The other LT Wright model that is somewhat similar to, but a bit beefier than, the Patriot is the Great Plainsman:

Sorry...I meant to say that I am building a knife case. That's the woodworking project. I just want suggestions for filling the case once it's finished. Sorry for the mixup.
You should still check out the Evans K/T Companion LG&M spoke of in his reply. Mine has quickly become my favorite small fixed blade and with the carbon fiber scales its very sharp (no pun intended). You can also get some other really nice looking g10 scales. The LT Wright Patriot seems to be getting a lot of love in this thread. They are also great lil knives, mine has been gathering dust since I got my EK/T tho.

It is the Patriot. The knife is about 5 3/4 over all length. About 2 1/4 blade length. Great little knife.

The Knifemaker's Market here is always my go-to recommendation. So many great makers putting out quality small fixed blades at great prices.

Well, I just placed an order for one of the EDC fixed blades for the rotation I'm assembling. I'm still researching all suggestions, and a few even overlap with knives that I was already considering. But for now, the one that caused me to get things rolling and make the first purchase is Gary Graley's suggestion of the Bradford Guardian3. It pushed so many of the right buttons for me, I just had to go for it. I got mine in M390 steel with the DLC coating, in saber grind w/o the false edge. The scales are black and green camo and the sheath is black. Can't wait until it arrives!

Thanks to everyone who has taken an interest in my post, and especially to those who offered-up such great ideas. Please keep 'em coming. Without your input, there are many blades I would never even know exist.

With regards,
MH

The Guardian3 is definitely a sweet blade - congrats. You'll have to carry it for a while to know if you really love it, though...

Here's another, more obscure, example of a great small fixed blade - the BRKT Bumble Bee (discontinued some time ago):

This one is small enough that I carry it in a pocket. But the handle is long enough to get a 4-finger grip and some real work done.

Nice choice, M390 is good stuff, the cnc'd scales are quite grippy, some may feel too much so, but I like the grip it provides even when wet.

Check out Dwayne Childress neck knives, quality work and good steels and fits the hand nicely. Also, (Justin) Wilder Forge.

It's the neckr from Jrs Knives . Google him and his sight will pop up. It's a great little fixie.

Haha, I was going to ask the same thing this morning but figured I shouldn't be looking at more places to spend money!
Those do look like a great little blade, and at a nice price as well. I like that apparently newer grind.
