Smallest knife that will do you...

pre knife days. i used to carry a double sided razor blade(the extremely thin ones) in my cell phone case. it served me great, and then i got into knives..

I've never really thought of my ESEE Candiru as "little"... it just seems the perfect size to me. You can get a great grip with the scales on it.

SAK rambler is a real beauty. When I was in school it was all I carried.

The Rambler is my always knife. It is a real gem, and has saved a lot of people's bacon over the years. You would be surprised how many times small, precise scissors, a magnetized No. 1 phillips driver, and a caplifter will save the day. I got mine for $2 off the bay, and it's been money well spent. Another model is the Compact. I bought one for $3, and it's a great EDC. Perfect toolset for just about everyone who's not in the foothills of Montana (which is just about everybody but 90% of BF).

J&G Designs nice anza I too cannot get mine to vacate my pocket its always there and it works for everything I've needed it for so far. Here is a picture.......

I sometimes carry a Victorinox Stylus that is smaller, but the blade feels flimsy and weak by comparison; I carry it for the stylus tool only.

Sometimes I'll carry a spyderco dragonfly, but when I do I feel uncomfortable. I need at least a 3.75 inch blade, say a kershaw JYD2 to feel normal.

I've had no problems carrying just a smaller knife. Some of my favorites are the Spyderco Lava and Dragonfly, Buck 055 and Victorinox Classic. Turthfully, the main issue I have with smaller blades is that they are usually accompanied by small handles. I think I could easily get along with a 2 inch blade on a 3.5-4 in. handle.

The Case peanut and the SAK classic on my keyring does everything I really need.

I was in Florida last week on vaycay, and this combo was my EDC all week. I'm normally a medium to large one-handed opener guy, but somehow I managed to survive with "just" the Peanut and Classic. Like Mr. Carl, I could make it though the day just fine with nothing else.

Big handle, small blade... I personally like it when the handles are full size but with smaller blades
