7°F with a real feel of... 2°. Count em... 1. 2.

Stupid weather.

Early release day for the kids. They get out at noon. Doesnt give me much time to get work done today.


But alas, there is a silver lining. Its Friday. I can get obliterated tonight. And Im signing my new and improved lease tomorrow that allows me to move in July... and there is a 99.99999% chance ill still be feeling the aftermath of tonight when i do so.

The good with the bad.

Comparing the 2 in hand, the candiru is more comfortable to me. Slicing paper or shaving hair the remora wins all day. Cutting on harder materials id prefer the candiru. Its more heavy duty. Opening boxes either will work just fine.

Wow. The things I miss by stepping away from this thread for a bit. Glad all got worked out.

Man, I've gotta stop reading BF before going to bed. Had a creepy dream that some weird fetus thingy was crawling under my skin all nite. Yuk. Worst. Sleep. Ever.
 
Just got back from the store, bought a crap-ton of vegetables. Gonna make some pico de gallo and some guacamole later. 'Bout the only way I like to eat vegetables.


Just got a text from my friend out in KC, the kids have been asking when I'm coming to visit. She homeschools them and the oldest one (13) is building a potato gun for a science project.

Great strategy. Adding garlic and vinegar to anything is always a good idea!
I do like vegetables, but stocking and cooking them before they go bad is problematic. Some things are better raw anyway. I keep carrots and broccoli around, which are nearly instant kroo-dytes. Couple 'em with some quality salad dressing as dip and you're ready to go in minutes. I like the crunch. It's salad without the leaves (which I also like).

Veggies are also a good excuse to use your kitchen knives. :D

Recipe didn't call for vinegar but I did forget the lime juice. I just can't stand vegetables for the most part, even with dressing. The only time I like cabbage is in the salsa I plan on making. I'm going to use an entire head of cabbage because I'm not going to use it for anything else so I'm going to end up with a bunch of the stuff.
 
I've just been bested for the first time by food :(

Donair pizza; Donair meat topped with tomatoes, onions and the our famous donair sweet sauce. 16 slices measuring 22" in diameter.

Even while using my 'not so secret' weapon to give me an endless stomach; I could only eat 4 slices. My kids ate 1/3 of a slice and complained about being full.. my wife only could do 1 and a few bits of a second. We have breakfast lunch and dinner left over. A little pricy.... but worth it!
