Inkjet printers are a completely different animal than laser printers. If you're only printing documents laser printers are the way to go. The toner is cheaper, lasts longer, and generally they are higher quality prints compared to inkjets. Plus Laser printers handle heavier and lighter weight papers better than inkjets do.

Inkjet printers flat-out suck, all across the board. They're the biggest scam perpetrated on consumers in decades.

I agree! They are crap. I rate them up their with umbrellas. Useless.

Girl scout thin mints crushed up in vanilla bean ice cream is delicious. Hmmm.... I wonder if i melted some PB and mixed it in if that would be awesome.... Of course it would be what am i saying....

I'm thinking the thin mints with the peanut butter might not be so epic, however throw the peanut butter in a blender, with two scoops of ice cream, and then add milk to thin it out and make a peanut butter milk shake... OM NOM NOM!

-25 before wind chill. Burr. Had little flakes of ice? forming in the diesel in the semi. Didn't seem to effect anything, but had me nervous. Didn't want to end up stuck on the side of the highway with a fuel filter filled with ice. Topped off with some more #1 diesel and some more diesel treatment and made it home.

That would have sucked! Glad to hear you made it back in.

I didnt end up doing it... Not because i think it would be gross, but simply too lazy to go through the process.

Kids were off Monday, had a snow day Tuesday, had early release on Wednesday.... Im working into the late hours trying to make up time..... Last night when i finally got around to eating dinner at 1am i would of ate a monkey covered in chocolate. Luckily i had some yummy chicken chili instead and then some ice cream and thin mints and went back to work.....

But im hoping to have these minis shipped out to heat treat in the next few days.... Even if i have to work around the clock!! Speaking of that... Back to work.

Thirty below zero in Cape Girardeau Missouri. AAAAAAAHAHHAHAHA

It's only -13 here. We are not used to this kind of abuse.

I like it. A hole just big enough to drop some dynamite and a shop vac for retrieval. This might work. Or maybe not...needs some more thought.

Again. No peanut butter. Such a disappointment.

I agree. There is always a way to get some peanut butter in the mix!!

Not pretty i know.... But the bevels are cut. :D Now just to clean them all up, get them oiled up, boxed and sent to PHT!! Glad the bevels are done. Still some filing and hand sanding before i ship them off but the hard part is over thankfully. Small or not.... 60 is a LOT!!

points at picture, Those two are mine!

I could be wrong, but those scales look pretty badly burnt. :(

Slow down when grinding the handles... big chunks of metal like those corbies suck up/hold a lot of heat, and they'll scorch the snot out of the material around them before you even realize what's happening. You end up with a nasty dark ring around the bolt or pin that's very deep and difficult to get rid of... don't ask me how I know.

Other than that, they look great! :)
Hold on there, old pro.....yes, there is/was a little overheating of the SS pins (not corbys) even tho I was TRYING to go slow AND used a pretty light touch. That Craftsman only has one speed....for now. Also notice the little bit of tearout on the one pin....not to mention ALL of the acer family are full of sugar that "caramelizes" easily. So the scales are only burned a little around the pins. Me being pretty much a rank amateur - while not jazzed about it - still think they are pretty OK for a first attempt. A little dye and finish and I don't think the giftee will even notice.....I'm way more bummed with the tearout, which I really can't fill without making it even more noticeable. I was aware of all the things you pointed out....but still shit happens. I am but an egg, as the late Mork used to say.

Nice. What are the hex head sizes?

bigghoss, if I've confused you, I was just riffing on your mod jokes.
For a bit there, my username looked like a normal Registered User. Then, the slant kicked in.
And lumbago is what old folks call lower back pain.

If none of it makes sense, just blame Murph. :p

Biscuit is staying. I made that biscuit. It was a lovely biscuit.

It's all in good fun. When I said I wasn't even half that old I was rubbing in the fact that I'm still relatively young. Though I'm still more than twice MM's age but I act as if I'm the same age.

I accept all blame.

So you're the reason the door on my K5 needs new hinges and it's your fault the couple next door was having a loud argument and slamming doors. For shame.

The Ka-bar heavy duty warthog is a weird knife. I dont not like it, though im not in love with it either... Its different. Thick edge. Huge blade for the handle size. Like a sharp spatula LOL

I really dig it. Short heavy blade so it can chop if you need it too and really take a beating. And it looks cool. But even though they look similar, it's nothing like the original. I really like both. Play with it some more, it might grow on ya.

Ugh, I have to work dayshift for the next six weeks. :barf: I have to get up at 5am and I work weekdays so I have to deal with the hustle and bustle of everything and deal with all the people. I put in for a different position though that might allow me to go back to straight nights and is a pay grade above my current one. I have the experience and the qualifications and there's 14 slots so the odds are decent, not a sure thing but I have a good shot at it. I'm also still hunting for a new job altogether. There was a TSA listed an opening in Fairbanks, AK. I think I could handle a bit of a pay cut for that.

Ooh, very nice. I am becoming excited.

Instead of using a lint roller to remove the (recently converted outdoor to indoor) dog hair before we go out, I have come up with a solution. Twice a day I go directly to the source and lint roll the dog.

(This comes after experimentation with vacuum cleaner applied to same dog resulting in destruction of VC and various other household items.)

(No breakthrough on toilet seat warming to report)

(Still questioning dog's living arrangement conversion.)

Did you use your grinder this time instead of doing it with hand files? That should speed up your processes considerably.
