Poetry:

If you want to try something completely different and unexpected one evening when a small group of family or friends are around...

Without any warning or lead in, reach up on the shelf and grab a book of poetry classics (you've probably all got one somewhere that hasn't been opened since you or your spouse put it on the shelf) and open to any page and start reading aloud. Adult beverages not required but will have an impact on outcome.

It'll be memorable no matter how it turns out. Try it, you'll thank me later.:p

Hey Mbay .....

Works best at my house wit Robert Service or Rudyard Kipling...... Or maybe Emily Dickinson?..... LOL....

You've got yer own "culture" now, guess that means you've arrived. Time to have a fan club named after you and start hosting homo-erotic gatherings. I hear you'll need a lot of whipped cream and body glitter.

"homo-erotic" is so exclusionary. Just go with straight-up "erotic" to make everyone feel included. :D

Been ill at home since Tuesday. Pretty darn bad cold, the doc said. It only got worse. Doc just passed by and affirmed my suspicion. The flu. Pfff

But I think the most interesting is the CPM 3V Master Hunter from Cold Steel for around a Benjamin. Definitely going to have to check that out...

I have an old CarbonV (it's 1095CV, guys, don't let anyone BS ya) Master Hunter and I like it very much. If they have the HT done right, those 3V CS models are going to be pretty sweet. They really ought to bring out the Trailmaster in 3V @ 60Rc, too...

Id jump on that!!

Me too. I hate the stock TM handle, but the blade is nearly perfect once you go ahead and sharpen the clip. Say what you will about Lynn Thompson, he (or his designer/s?) knocked it clean out of the park with the TM and MH... and imho gave the entire knife industry a big boost.

Now a CPM-3V CS Spetznial Forces shovel... holy smokes, that would be cool! :D

I only had the chance to check out a TM for a short time, and didnt get to actually use it..... Id like to give the TM and the Laredo bowie a go just to see how they perform.

But if i was about to spend over 100 on a CS.... Id go with the Ghurka Kukri.

I don't know that Expat cat from Adam, but his article about knife brands/fans was frickin' humanitarilious... I never heard of The New Pioneer Magazine either, but if they're down with TMHunt knives, they can't be all bad.

I'll ditto this, particularly Expat. He clearly has a keen insight into the human condition and the ability to describe it in terms we can all understand.... No fluff, just genuine insight.

I confess...I just received a CS Man At Arms Chinese War Sword from a distributor... Kind of over the top, but pretty cool. I still need to clean off cosmoline and get some photos. Right now, it still stinks like Chinese or Russian steel... Anyone else ever notice that all this stuff smells the same?

I'm holdin' out for the Becker/Rheinhardt kuk :)

Yea i really want one of them too... Wish they would hurry up LOL

I do like the idea of the Ghurka. I havent had the chance to hold one of them yet, but at .3125" thick and 17" OAL.... I bet it feels like a beast when chopping.

Id jump on that!!

Just watch out for the pointy end :D - snark

I dont mind CS. A 3V TM would be sweet. Prices up here for all CS products is nuts :( $150 for a Spartan folder, that I paid $70 for just across the border.... Bleh
