It's been 32 days since I posted in the BH signup thread, since it says not to exceed 30 days does that mean I'm not accepted or just that no one's checked it recently?

Wasn't complaining, just wondering. I fully understand and respect that you have a life to live.

I did provide the information and now I have a bit more in each category.

Steel on the hatchet is 5160, WW. Good stuff for chopping, IMO.

JT, I have several HI's, and they're all stellar. HI had a period of time in which they were having some QC issues due to some new smiths and other issues, which is now straightened out, AFAIK. You may have gotten one from that period, but HI will warranty them. I had one that I picked up during that time that was problematic, but many more which are very good.

I've never seen this guy before, but i like his work. I think he has it right on the large choil on this, because the buck has the little choil, and the gradually rising finger guard, which makes the blade sit too far from your hand, and the choil helps.

For $55 it looks like it'll be alright. The sheath and firesteel are alright too. Tinker toys compared to to BK16 though......:D
