My bottle of makers mark is almost gone and I need to get another good bottle of bourbon. How does the black label compare?

I don't drink Makers Mark often, I have before but I don't drink it often enough to give you a real comparison. I will say that the Johnny Walker Black is a very smooth, drinkable, affordable scotch that I really enjoy. I can really taste the difference between Johnny Walker Red and Johnny Walker Black, the Red just tastes kind of cheap and rough in comparison (not to sound like a scotch snob, JW Black is still child's play in comparison to high quality scotch). Give it a go. I get my bottles for $25-$30 a bottle from my particular liquor store that knows me, common street price is $35-$40. Pretty inexpensive in the spectrum of scotches.

I will trade you the Case for yours. That way you can give him the real deal.

Had an overnighter on Saturday with our Scout Troop. Really nice weather, but because it got dark so early (4:45 pm EST) we all hit the rack at around 9:15-9:30 pm. It commenced to pouring down about 15 minutes later and didn't stop until 5 in the morning. At least we got some campfire time in before the monsoon.

Per usual, my FPR BK16 was the only knife I used. Actually did some chopping with it to sharpen the point on the forked stick in the second pic. Base of that stick was about 2 inches thick and while the BK2 would have done a much better job, the FPR 16 managed to get it done. Goes to show that if you adapt to the tool instead of trying to force it the other way, you really can have "one knife to rule them all".

Also, as per usual, the Gerber Sportsman's Saw did the saw work, and did an amazing job of it.

There you are, D!
sounds like a good weekend.

I'm pretty sure the guy that commissioned that knife would have some strong words about that.
