the 4 as made by kabar has a very specific sweet spot -- if you're not hitting right there, it's not much of a chopper.
Blade length is not significantly longer than the 9.
So far as i know, they're both coming in the same sheath now -- the 9 got an upgraded sheath this year.
the 9 is easier to sharpen, has a wider sweet spot, which means more efficient for chopping.
both can be used as a draw knife.

I'm a relative beginnner at field dressing, but the knife was excellent.
Fortunately a buddy is coming over tomorrow to help with the post-processing. He's my hunting Yoda.
Below is the knife before it got all messy. 3" blade, 1/8" A2, black/green linen micarta. Thought maybe it was getting dull near the end, but when I got it home and just cleaned it up in the sink it shaved hair right off my arm. dayum, impressed myself.
Proud of this one.
