This is funny stuff!!
Why have I never heard of a sandy mangina before? Apparently led a sheltered life...
Made garlic-crusted prime rib, creamy potatoes au gratin, stuffed mushrooms, spicy green beans, and squash soup for dinner tonight. What did the rest of y'all eat for your New Years dinner tonight?
Your military service ended before the current conflict perhaps?
Retired from the Army in 2005, so more or less. Still a long way from real retirement with one kid still in college and a mortgage to pay. Plus the bills for all my toys....

I have some Flexaril for after the ball drop. Wait... that didn't come out right.
Did I mention how much I love my Becker Field Bag?
Here is a pic of Karen who sews the bag. Very interesting gal. Among other things, she is a very talented leather artisan.

I did a big Christmas dinner...prime rib crusted with horseradish, kosher salt, garlic, rosemary and olive oil, grilled salmon, twice baked potatoes, potato skins, and asparagus with hollandaise.
Tonight was simple: brisket, grilled chicken and cornbread from a local BBQ place and potato salad from Sam's Club.
Christmas was good though!

Then I have no idea why you havent heard that term lol it was quite common![]()
that's the sulfites they use as a preservative -- nasssssty stuff.I like to drink wine, but hate to get drunk off of wine. Pretty much assured I will be settling in for a two day headache afterwards.
I really think it's the sulfites in commercial stuff that make the hangover so much worse. I don't use that crap in mine, and I don't get the awful headaches from it, even when I have too much.
I think I am going to fry up some loin and have a couple fancy beers to ring in the new year.
I've never tried Crown Royal or Maker's Mark. Not much for hard liquor most of the time.

Always dropping knowledge...or something.
Cool pics, Gus. Thanks. I took my bag on a recent trip to Alabama. It handled my essentials, including two pistols, like a boss.
The New York reload....never a bad idea.
I had three on my person once (two concealed and one open carried since I was in my house) when a new customer came by to pick up a piece of caca Cobra Enterprises .380ACP (MSRP $106) that he bought from Cheaper (More Expensive) Than Dirt. Turned out to not be a hoodlum, but a helicopter maintenance guy who didn't know how bad a gun you get for $100 new.
