I was tempted to pick up a 4pk of stainless pint cups at REI today. I see that one is insulated though. Does it have a lid?

It does indeed have a lid. You were probably looking at the Klean Kanteen version. The cider is a little foamy, but tasty. No idea how it is cold yet.
 
Interesting. I might have to snoop around the bullseye store sometime.
I forgot the brand, but they weren't insulated or anything. Just plain SS pint 'glasses.' They would have looked nice next to my set of Sun King glasses.

Stanley makes a SS cup with plastic bottle neck that is a good drinking companion as well. It's not insulated though.
 
Aight... I've had enough of the cheap eyelet setter. It keeps splitting and mashing them, and I'm tired of drilling them out and starting over...only to get the same results.

Hope everyone's having an enjoyable evening otherwise.

At least you didn't spend any $$ for that to happen. I just ordered a decent set. Hopefully my last. And some more Kydex® and rivets. If I'm going to keep doing this, I'm going to be a little less frustrated at the results, I hope.

When you get the set, if you got the dies, chuck them into a drill, then take a rag soaked in whatever polishing compound you like, (Flitz, White Diamond, etc...) and polish the shit out them. Then, when you use them, slap a little bit of oil on them. Makes for a tremendously easier time setting eyelets.
 
Granite, Like D said, use drill to polish the dies. you might wanna start with some 600-1000 grit sandpaper to take any lathing/tooling marks out first.

11.5 hour drive and we're home. Having a beer (or two) to unwind and heading to bed. Kinda nice being back home after 10 days on the road.

Well i guess that was just since Friday LMAO i cant remember further back right now HAHA

Now im bout to play with some knives for a bit. Maybe try another video... but i dont know what to record.....

Thanks man. I noticed the "eyes" as well. When I do this technique I came up with, you never know what pattern will turn out on the font. This sort of has a light bronze cast over chrome, so to speak, haha.

I can just see myself doing the same picture for over an hour and saving each one to get the best pattern HAHA


So i made a video just messing with a few knives... some neckers, becker content included LMAO, vantage pro, competition cutter, and talking about them a little, and i guess i ran out of storage in the middle LMAO cus it cut off before i was done.... But the video is like 7 minutes anyway. Its saturday night. I been drinking now HAHA i had no idea it was so long. Ill still upload it because i dont feel like doing it over and already cut most the stuff i have.... Time to make a trip to the dollar store LOL

I just looked up at what i wrote... I can tell i been drinking, 5 or 6 LMAO/LOL/HAHAs in one post..... shameful. Id erase them but then this sentence wouldnt make sense and i already typed it... now im in a catch 22... Whatever :p
