That a '14 RAM? That knob shifter is pretty stupid, actually just about any electric based shifter is dumb, in my opinion.

I learned the hard way that you can't put one in neutral and push the car when the motor blows up in a Dunken doughnuts drive through with a big line behind you.

your google-fu is weak young padawan...
google fifty/fifty stainless growler
check the river store? (they're not as cheap as the deal i got, but they have both the one I got and the newer version that's taller and slightly thinner)

Oh, I found them.... Just that particular one was out of stock. No, I assure you that the one I saw floating down the big river is saved in the cart for the next order. I bet it could come in handy for the gathering.

just because I'm evil: dinner tonight was pancake, smoked pork, maple syrup. repeat and top with anoter pancake and more maple syrup.

:D

p.s. thanks again for the syrup Gus!

The 4th grade school project this year is maple syrup - there are buckets hanging off trees all over town, The Idea is that the 4th graders will collect it, boil it down, return a portion to the sap providers and sell the rest to fund their 5th grade Environmental Camp. Pretty cool driving down any street and seeing a big "sidewalk" maple with a spile and a 5 gallon HD bucket right there.

Nice one on the syrup Gus (& Erik). I can NOT abide "maple syrup" that has not come from a maple tree. The NH maple growers sued Log Cabin because they (LC) were putting some crap or other in the classic short pint bottle that REAL maple syrup comes in and calling it "all natural" something or other. I saw the "Log Cabin" on the front and said to myself "WTF do they think they're fooling?"

is that the one that's 10% maple and 90% agave syrup?

Just happy to see it being put to good use!

Yeah I don't get it either... Apparently it's the new "thing" which I'm personally baffled by... What ever happened to having a truck with 4 on the floor?

I like having an automatic, but my rigs are old so even though it's auto it's still mechanical. How are you supposed to lock it in a lower gear to go down a steep hill without melting the brakes? And eventually whatever electrical stuff controls the trans is going to go out. That thing won't be on the road in 30 years. But hardly anybody keeps a vehicle for more than 5 anymore anyway. I wasn't even really around in the days when people would buy something and keep it forever and fix it but I still miss those days. Everything's disposable.

And even though I drive and auto, I still don't like the idea of manual transmissions not being available in new trucks. It just doesn't seem right, especially in larger trucks for towing. Not sure if they've totally phased them out yet or not but I know that's the trend.

Cbear! I used to drive a 2007 Impreza WRX and every day I wake up missing it. I had to sell it two years ago for the man van that I never drive. I missed it so much this winter, the all wheel drive was sick. Unstoppable in any crappy weather. Boner inspiring acceleration on any surface. It was also fun as all hell to drive. It was like the car version of my sport bike (that was also sold with parenthood). I would definitely recommend them.

not even that...
products_all_natural.png
and it's ingredients (had to find them elsewhere as LC is mum)
syrup (brown rice, sugar, maple [4%]), water, natural flavor, xanthan gum (natural thickener), caramel color, citric acid.
Rat bastards. Putting stuff in the jug and calling it "all natural". Dog poop is all natural, too (no offense to your dog(s)).

So my landlord told me she is considering the possibility of selling the house. Sucks because the living situation is pretty good and moving is such a PITA.

Yea that sucks.

Is she at least waiting till the end of your lease?

Isn't everything on earth "all natural"? I love how it says, "A family tradition since 1887" I'm sure the family wanted to use substandard products in their syrup all along, they were just waiting for them to be invented before they did it. A shitty family if you ask me.
