Problem is I can't make 'em like hotcakes. :(
And that's a snot-load of hand-sanding. Someday I may go belt... some day.

There's probably 5-6 hours of hand sanding work into that piece, between prep for heat-treat, post-heat polish, and handles.
My fingers ache just thinking about it. I must be out of shape. :D

Its definitely a sexy blade. Just an idea.... you could sell a less "finished" version and leave them to do their own polishing. Many a folk here know how to make their knives really purdy looking
 
Who hoo! Today was the first day of my sons baseball season. Its a couple weeks late this year due to weather. We, (my son and I) have been itchin to get on the field this year. (I coach) today was our first practice, got to look at my team. Seem like a decent bunch of boys, couple slackers, couple with talent, which is normal, we'll see. Irregaurdless, were gonna have a lot of fun!...............and its always good to see kids off the couch and away from there video games. I'll take a kid with no talent but is willing to listen and try hard over a talented kid with a
adittute any day.

nice! gotta love baseball season. can't wait to get to go see the Rays play here in Tampa (err St Pete) attendance is horrible so have to enjoy them while they are still here.

I'm awake... I took a fairly epic nap this afternoon when I got home from work, well after Angel got towed away...

Now I'm watching No Reservations. One of the last Catherine Zeta movies I think she looked good in.

I also got a hold of Mark Reich (knife maker in Spearfish South Dakota, from such notoriety as The Knife Journal Podcast) he does forged knives not stock removal knives. He said I'm more than welcome to stop by the shop when I'm up there and see how it works so I'm CRAZY excited about that.
 
36 hours until i leave for the weekend.

Cant wait to get into the woods.

I am sick of winter too and cant wait to get out and have some summer fun. My truck is in the shop getting a new engine so I have a few weeks to go before I get to go anywhere.
